A collection of photos from a shoot I did while my dad was battling pancreatic cancer. He was doing so well and gave us every reason to believe he would keep fighting. None of us were prepared for how quickly this terrible disease would steal him from us. Within Five months our world changed forever. 💜 #PancreaticCancerAwareness

“I did this photo shoot in March and still haven’t picked the final photos. Life shifted fast — I was caring for my dad, and within five months he passed. These are the raw/ unedited shots I sent to my Dad that day.” Hair/makeup @xshairglam Photography: @caballeropictures #model #photoshoot #maturemodel #phtoshoot#pancreaticcancer by @sally_unedited

“Two months without my dad. Still doesn’t feel real. Thank God for Lilly.” by @sally_unedited

On Father’s Day, my nephew came home from the Marines to see my dad, not knowing it would be their last time together until his services. He never got the chance to show his Pop Pop his “ Dress blue” uniform but I know Dad was looking down on him that day — proud of the man he became, proud of the Marine he grew into, and proud of the love he carried into that final visit. #marines #grief #fuckcancer #Dad #pancreaticcancer by @sally_unedited

My nieces and nephews have grown into remarkable young adults, each choosing their own path with courage and conviction. My sister and brother‑in‑law did an extraordinary job raising them, and I couldn’t be prouder. At my father’s services, seeing them all together especially my nephew in his Marine dress blues — moved everyone to tears. My father was so proud of him, and having him there in uniform was exactly what Dad wanted.I love these kids And they better take care of me when I’m old… or I’m revising the will.🤣❤️#family #DAD #grief #nieces #nephew by @sally_unedited

#griefjourney #grief #missyou #dad It’s been just a month since you left us Dad and I still dont believe it times. by @sally_unedited

I haven’t even had the chance to grieve my father the way I needed to. So much happened right after he passed—things that never should’ve happened—and I’ve been dealing with nonsense instead of being able to sit with my loss!!!
Today my best friend took me to a pet store, and I saw this toy poodle. My dad loved my little dog so much, and I always wanted to get him and agnes one. The doctors told us he had one to two years left,Instead, we got four and a half months. Grief hit me harder than anything I’ve ever felt today. Dad, I will never regret taking time off to take care of you. I did everything I Could. 😢 #cancer #dad #grief #traceadkins our father daughter dance. by @sally_unedited

“Your presence isn’t here in the way I want, but I felt you today. I’m still hurting, still learning how to live without you… but I’ll keep standing up for what’s right. Your strength is still with me.”#grief #dad #missyou #rip by @sally_unedited

He walked into every chemo session with courage. I walk through every day now trying to carry his strength (Not there).
My Dad was the strongest man I’ve ever known. I hope I make you proud down here.Still cant believe you’re gone. #pancreaticcancer #rip #dad #grief #cancer by @sally_unedited

In early August, I took more time off of work to take care of my Dad after his chemo appts. Lilly was coming with me like always and my dad even made her own room. We were supposed to have more time together But everything happened so fast. Too fast. I just wanted a few more months. It doesn’t feel fair. #grief #dad #cancer #pancreaticcancer # by @sally_unedited
