«When Dubai does something, it does it!» - and the same goes for the people who call this city home.

Moving here in January 2020, my journey wasn’t easy. From lockdown fears to completely reinventing my career path into HR and starting my family, Dubai provided the canvas, but the hustle was up to me.

Here’s to growth, ambition, and endless possibilities.

Don’t just send your CV and disappear 👀

Most candidates hit “apply” and wait. A short, friendly message to the recruiter or hiring manager helps you stand out and puts a real person behind your CV.

Copy this and send it along with your CV 👇

Somewhere between check-in and boarding, life feels different. 🧳✈️

Six years in Dubai. So many chapters, so many lessons. 🤍

I built my career, got my driving license, started a family, and achieved things I once only dreamed about.

But looking back at these old videos made me realize something…

I was always chasing the next goal, the next milestone, the next version of myself.

And sometimes, I forgot to appreciate how far I’d already come.

A little reminder to myself and to anyone who needs it:

Enjoy being in the process of becoming ✨

If you’re growing your HR career in the UAE, the real value is networking:
• Meet HR professionals across companies and industries
• Discover the HR tech and trends shaping UAE workplaces
• Grow your network beyond LinkedIn

Sometimes it starts with meeting the right people and being part of the industry.

Not an ad and I’m not a realtor 😁
Just sharing the kind of real-life costs and details I’d check before renting in Dubai.

Rent is just the start. When you move in, you also pay:

— Security deposit: 5% unfurnished / 10% furnished
— Agency fee: often around 5%, depending on the agency and agreement
— Ejari registration: around AED 200+
— DEWA: AED 2,000 refundable deposit + activation fees
— AC/chiller deposit: depending on the building, often around AED 1,500–2,000

Some of this is refundable when you move out.

A studio in Dubai can cost around AED 40–43K/year.

And don’t choose an apartment only because it looks nice 👀

Also check:
→ Metro or bus access, especially if you don’t drive
→ What’s in the building - many come with a gym and pool
→ What’s downstairs - supermarket, cafés, pharmacy, restaurants
→ How convenient the area will actually be for your everyday life by @saltanat_empire
