⚽ Sport for Change - our systemic program to support powerful projects We dream of a world where all children and young people - especially the most vulnerable - can thrive through the transformative power of sport. 🫂 💫 This is the vision behind our new program “Sport for Change”, one of the two strategic pathways of SALTO FOUNDATION. Through this program, we support high-impact initiatives that go beyond the playing field - building safe environments, nurturing inclusion, and unlocking long-term potential. 🌎 We believe that meaningful change takes time. That’s why we commit to multi-year partnerships, combining significant financial investment with close, ongoing collaboration - walking alongside each project to help it grow and thrive sustainably. 🚀 Rooted in purpose and guided by Effective Philanthropy, we invest in what truly matters - and where change lasts. 🤍 Meet the first projects we proudly support in our new website 👉 Link in bio #SportforChange #SaltoFoundation #BeyondSport by @saltofoundation

🚴🏽‍♀️ Access to Sport - because everyone deserves a place on the field Sport has the power to uplift, to connect, and to transform - but only if everyone has the change to take part. "Access to Sport" is one of the two strategic pathways of @saltofoundation, focused on removing barriers to participation and creating inclusive, adaptive opportunities for all - regardless of ability, background, or geography. 💫 We collaborate with incredible para athletes from around the world who lead by example, inspire change, and help build a more inclusive future through sport. 🌎 From athletics to surfing and beyond, these changemakers are breaking barriers and achieving the unthinkable. 🏅 Meet the athletes behind our program - and don't miss the inspiring new additions 👉 Link in bio #SaltoFoundation #AccesstoSport #BeyondSport by @saltofoundation
-- 🤝 Kirola, inklusiorako tresna. Hasina first joined Free to Run in Kabul in 2016. Today, she manages our Afghanistan program from Canada and last weekend, she traveled to San Sebastián to run the Salto 15K alongside fellow Free to Run alums Hanifa and Nazira, who now live in Germany. Our partners at SALTO FOUNDATION made this possible, giving the team an opportunity to share their experiences with Salto staff and connect with local women preparing for the same race. Free to Run recently joined the Foundation’s Sport for Change program, and the 15K race’s solidarity bib initiative raised €3,500 for our work. Of course, outside of the race, there was also time to see the sights of San Sebastián including a trip to the beach, a football match, and a Basque dance performance! Thank you to SALTO FOUNDATION for creating this opportunity - and for further supporting Free to Run's work so that girls and young women in conflict areas like Iraq, Afghanistan, and Palestine, can experience the freedom of running. by @saltofoundation
This year, the @15kdonostiss was about much more than crossing a finish line. It was about 3,580 people coming together to celebrate inclusion, equality, and the power of sport to change lives. It was about standing with @freetorunngo and the women and girls they support in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Palestine through sport, leadership, and education. It was also about the inspiring stories of Hasina Hussain, Nazira Khair, and Hanifa Rezaie. Forced to leave Afghanistan after the Taliban returned to power, they joined the race as symbols of freedom, resilience, and hope, reminding us that in some parts of the world, simply running is an act of courage. Together, we raised €3,500 through the solidarity bib, helping create more opportunities for women and girls to run, lead, and build their own future. Thank you for being part of this journey and for helping turn every kilometre into an opportunity for change. 💙 👉 Read the full story at the link in bio. #SaltoFoundation #FreeToRun #Salto15K by @saltofoundation
