ARTIST INFOS

Philipp Otterbach

As an early resident of the epoch-defining Salon Des Amateurs, Philipp has spent over 2 decades honing his craft as polymathic DJ, producer and remixer. His productions shine a glinting eye on epic ambient soundscapes. A forward-thinking dream, that bundles something otherworldly, something unspeakable, that lives hauntingly between the sounds, rhythms and suggested melodies. With a newly developed live set in tow, we are proud to welcome Philipp in Vienna for the first time. Deconstructed entertainment for hopeless romantics.

Adina Camhy

Adina Camhy is interested in the pressing questions of our time, in technology, history and memory, in peripheries and glimpses beneath surfaces. Camhy researches, deconstructs and remixes. Their work spans across various media such as sound, video and visual arts.

In their concert, Camhy weaves together works and improvisations from the last three years, during which they have been struggling with Post-Covid syndrome: field recordings from the rugged karst landscape, improvisations recorded on a wooden church organ in an Alpine mountain village, and poem-like fragments dealing with chronic illness and hope. Camhy's music involves electronics, field recordings, vocals and effects, creating subtle, alienating and eerily fragmented soundtrack-like soundscapes that range from noise and ambient to drone and industrial. The live concert recording ‚krst' was released by smallforms in 2025.

Andrea Ida

Andrea is a listener, collector and the ‘ᴄᴏᴜʟᴅ ʙᴇ ᴜꜱ, ʙᴜᴛ ᴜ’ʀᴇ ʜᴜᴍᴀɴ’ show host on Bristol based Noods Radio. She digs Tss-Ka-Tss-tss-Kas, Boom-Clack-Boom-boom-Clacks, Waaaaooow-Chk-chk-chk-Pings, and other bleeps from the past, the present and in between. Exploration and sharing finds with others is her happy place. by @sama_recordings

PRESS TEXT
„2 Grelka“ offers a deep dive into the soft machinery of analogue sound. Somewhere between Vaporwave’s faded memories, New Wave’s cool surfaces and Downtempo’s slow pulse, the album builds its own little climate: warm, hazy, slightly uncanny — and deliberately out of sync with the speed of everything else.

Vibrating synth layers, soft harmonic shifts and pronounced rhythmic passages create a record that works less like a story and more like a place you can temporarily disappear into.

The individual sound aesthetic is at the centre of the process. Prophet-5 provides much of the album’s analogue DNA, while a LinnDrum brings its unmistakably physical pulse into the mix. Instead of relying on polished, ready-made digital production routines, Grelka generates, records and resamples large parts of the material himself. Sounds are pushed around, recycled and given new lives until they develop their own fingerprints.

That homegrown approach is what separates „2 Grelka“ from a purely nostalgic exercise. The album might flirt with Vaporwave’s fascination for degraded memories, analogue ghosts and obsolete futures, but it doesn’t simply recreate a past aesthetic. It treats nostalgia as raw material — something to distort, warm up, slow down and turn into something personal and heart-warming.

2 Grelka was produced by Austrian musician Benjamin Hailzl between February 2025 and August 2026 — entirely in his home studio. The sole exception is “Trockner”, featuring lyrics written by Tanja Oberbramberger.

PRESS TEXT
Mme Psychosis works exclusively in the dark, somewhere in Vienna. As night falls, the rhythms, melodies, and harmonies that linger in the shadows of the day begin to surface.

A pianist by training, she was drawn into the circuitry of synthesizers, eventually losing herself in Casio and Nord keyboards. In her world, the beat is never merely a backdrop—it is the force that pulls you deeper, keeps you moving, and refuses to let you stand still.

Synthesizers dissolve across the body. Voices drift through the haze, repeating like distant transmissions before disappearing into the dark. Her sound inhabits the space between synthwave, synthpunk, and synthpop, threaded with tribal percussion, heavy beats, and spectral harmonies.

Mme Psychosis makes music for the hours when the familiar becomes strange—and the darkness starts to sound like something you know.

Text: Benedikt Guschlbauer (August 2026)

samaibm01 Release Party – live recorded.

For the release of samaibm01, Ben / @sama_recordings invited the contributing musicians to 1bm. I was given the chance to do the warm-up and had a great time doing it. The recording also features my contribution to the compilation “Buy, Dub, Die”: over the span of 11 minutes, I’ve put together a selection of all the instruments that bring me great joy. Perhaps they’ll bring you joy too. A shout-out to all the musicians whose music I played that evening. I listened to many of the tracks out loud for the first time and enjoyed every second. Thank you for that!
