Introducing the one and only @tarasmoneka to the Samara Sound roster! ✨

Tara Moneka is an Iraqi artist and singer whose music bridges cultures, traditions, and generations. Born in Baghdad and raised in a Sufi family, she draws from Afro-Sufi, Arabic, and Swahili influences to create a sound that blends Jazz, Rock, Funk, Blues, Maqam, and Afrobeat. Singing in multiple languages, Tara celebrates music as a universal language of connection.

As the lead of @dijlahband, an all-women band named after the Tigris River, she uses her art to amplify women’s voices and cultural dialogue.

In August 2026, Tara will release her debut album BIS, a powerful fusion of her Arabic and African identities—uniting two musical worlds for the first time in one groundbreaking project. by @tarasmoneka

Next up, we are excited to share we are booking Canada-wide for @pickapiper ✨

Pick a Piper is a Toronto-based electronica duo consisting of longtime @cariboumusic touring drummer Brad Weber (@coyhaste) and vocalist/songwriter @sophia.alexandra.music .

Their music pairs catchy, ethereal vocals with warm synths, upbeat percussion, and a distinctive sense of sound design that feels both grounded and vulnerable.

The duo’s live show is an intoxicating blend of vibrant physicality and immersive lights and visuals, creating an experience that is both danceable and hypnotic. Pulsing with momentum, vocally driven and haunting, it radiates a charisma that unites the band and audience in cathartic release.

Check out their new release “Dissonant Hearts” along with their incredible collection of tracks on all platforms.

We are so thrilled to be working with the incredible @mayakilltron!

Maya Killtron is a one-woman mixtape. Crowned Canada’s Queen of Boogie, she blends vintage funk, glossy R&B, and disco shimmer with classical chops and pop power. Imagine if Mariah Carey, Michael McDonald, and TwoSet Violins walked into a studio, that’s Maya. Genre-defying and joy-forward, her sound is as eclectic and electric as her hometown of Toronto.✨✨.

Check her music out on all the platforms, or on our website www.samarasound.ca ⚡️

Looking forward to this journey! @mayakilltron @ear2ear taken in Toronto, Ontario by @tarasmoneka
