Next up! I'm so very excited to share that I'll be playing Grace Farrell in Annie at Constellation Stage & Screen in Bloomington this holiday season. Can't wait to get started with this amazing team, including two talented youth casts, and to have a little NYC Christmas here in Indiana. 🌇

& a shoutout to my original turn as Grace, the first character who felt "just right" for me, at age 14. It feels special to revisit her, this time with costumes that fit. ❤️ by @sammie_resnick

sweet September 🍂
lots of new, lots of appreciation for the things that move with me through each season by @sammie_resnick

In honor of The Gay Fantasticks FINALLY (i mean seriously i've been saying this since i was in middle school), here's a friendly reminder that as a nonbinary actor, I'm available to play Matt or Lou 🥰

(as long as Fletcher and Orion are there, too.)

It's my baby's first Gotcha Day! One whole year with my Pepper. He's adjusting so well to our new home, and I can't wait to take him on more adventures. I love him so much, and he loves me back in the sweetest and silliest ways. I'm forever grateful that he chose me! 💜🐾 by @sammie_resnick

I'm honored to share that my watercolor painting was accepted into the Art Saves Lives exhibit by @afspindiana @athenaeumindy, celebrating mental health, survivorship, and hope. Somehow, this presentation of my work feels slightly scarier than what I'm used to, a different kind of vulnerability, but a pretty neat result of taking a chance on myself doing that scary-seeming thing. Here's to stretching our creativity, and sharing it because we love it. 💙

Moments from a cool, chaotic, creative few weeks. I love summer. Time to move to Indy!

I thought of a handful of reasons not to post this, but I pulled it out of my trash folder because that's the point of this, right?
(As a reminder from last time, I'm challenging myself to find and share joy in my practice, no matter what it looks like within the boundaries of my disabilities.)
Anyway, I think my practice series may be a serenading Pepper series. On high pain days, I find myself kneeling on the floor to get some singing in. Obviously, Pepper sees this as a playtime invitation.

Here's a little "Come to My Garden" from The Secret Garden

I'm going to try this new thing where I share my practice while falling in love with singing again, no matter the circumstances! That means maybe puppy appearances, maybe ads popping up at the end, and no real self tape set-up.

With my navigation of various disabilities over the last couple of years, I'm finding how I can love my artistry and how I show up, no matter what it looks like. And July is Disability Pride Month!

Today, I was listening to the glorious @ragtimemusical cast recording, and this passage at the end of What Kind of Woman? struck me. What a gorgeous passage of music that signifies a moment of change in Mother, and how underrated/overlooked. She learns and teaches us not to turn our backs.

I'm hoping to make this a series? What do you think??

June! June! June! by @sammie_resnick

Let me tell y'all about my best friend...
When we were both very near rock bottom in December, Mo said, "We're due for a New Year's."
When it was time for her to go back home to Jersey, she said, "I WILL see you soon."
Well, we got lucky and got to share the process and production of Blood at the Root.
When a gig out of town came up, she said, "Go do your thing; I'll housesit and take care of Pepper."
She created a scavenger hunt and a choose-your-own-adventure day for my birthday.
This barely scratches the surface of all the ways Mo has shown up for me this year. My best friend is creative, hilarious, and magnetic, and I got to watch my community here in Indiana fall in love with her, too. Tits up on this next adventure, @theemodamato. Thank you for putting me back together. More drag shows, silly walks home, Scandal marathons, and transcending in the kitchen soon🪿💖 by @sammie_resnick

It was a chaotic and colorful 28th birthday and Pride, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I love you, and I love me a little more than I did the last we checked in. 😘🏳️‍🌈
