💥 Album Launch 💥

Well, this week has been a pretty massive week - a wicked @mindbogglingtunes last Friday, a festival lineup launch yesterday, and finally, the launch of my first VA comp, 🍳FULL ENGLISH BREAKFAST 🍳 , out on @alpaka_muzik today!

I couldn’t be more excited to share this with you. It’s been in the works for 1.5 years and I have to say… it’s bloody awesome! 🙌 🔥💥

Psytechno is slowly but surely taking over the UK. Just a few years ago, barely anyone had heard this nu wave psytechno style sound, but over time, the scene here has really started to bubble and to pick up traction. 💯👌

I felt like we had honed our own unique UK sound, and that it was time to showcase this to the world. 🌎 Fresh and cutting edge, from the chunky basslines to the cosmic funk and a heavy dose of proper trippy textures, this VA showcases the full-spectrum UK sound — loud and clear 🕺💃

The scene is thriving. It’s badass. It’s pumping. It’s proper funk-filled wicked trippy tunes. 🔥🔥

Welcome to 🍳FULL ENGLISH BREAKFAST Vol. 1 🍳- serving up a 12-track feast of deep, groovy, and twisted psychedelic techno fresh from the British Isles (and one ☘️ Irishman 😉)

If my younger self knew that by now I’d be a label DJ representing some of the most cutting edge electronic artists in the world and had curated and compiled an album for said label, he’d lose his mind! I’m genuinely lost for words and can’t believe I get to work with some of the best musicians on the planet. 🪐

A massive thanks to bossman @kozy_alpaka for entrusting me with this 🙏🙏- it’s been so awesome working you in this mate! 💯Also working @aerogelatina2 to create this epic piece of artwork 🖼️, all hand drawn by Paulo himself has been such a pleasure - your work is awesome ✅! @skeptic_official for putting the album altogether in a fantastic mix!! 🥳🥳

And of course - the 🧙‍♂️ wizards themselves, the artists! You guys have created such amazing pieces of music!! Thank you 🙏🙏 by @samstrutt

💥EXISTANCE💥

WHAT. A. PARTY. 🚀 That was mega mega wicked. A proper rave. It’s truly rare to feel such an electric buzz as potent as there was at @existance_festival 2 weeks ago. 💯👌

I had the pleasure of playing twice 💃🕺 both times on the psytechno stage, Friday late closing, and Saturday early evening as @reptilian_overlords_music (though sadly minus one reptile 🦎 , who was away on wedding detail). Nonetheless it was a total blast 💥

The party has not only grown but also solidified itself as one of the most prominent and stand out UK psy festivals. 💯 Pushing an agenda of cutting edge electronic music, it has significantly evolved since the previous edition. 🤩 it was amazing to see it in action !!

And as always, sharing the d floor and the decks with so many friends, producers, DJs and legends was just epic! Full to the brim 💯 with ❤️❤️❤️

It was awesome to be part of Rossi’s vision once again, and to work with and alongside so many epic people - you all know who you are! Epic epic stuff you legends! 🤩🤩

Thanks to @vishsolo for the videos!! 📸 by @samstrutt

☀️NOISLY 2023☀️

On the coldest day of the year so far 🥶 I can’t help but think ahead to the Summer, and therefore of course to @noisilyfestival - the standout event. Every year. 💯

Chloe and I were having a baby over this Summer, so we were unable to attend the most recent party 😄😄😄 But this coming year, I’m hoping we are able to make it back onto that d floor!! 💃🕺

Last year, 2023. Surrounded by both friends and family, I had the pleasure of playing a set on the Sunday afternoon. Blasting some of my all time fave psy tracks!! 💥💥 A moment that still gives me goosebumps. Totally totally epic. ✌️🔥

I can’t wait to see what the lineup has in store for us next week! 🕰️👀

Thanks to my good friend @vishsolo for these epic shots!! 🙏🙏🙏

Bring it on!!! 🥳☀️🥳☀️ by @samstrutt

💃 THE BEATS 🕺

Ohh on this rainy day we’re dreaming about that dusty Thump d floor 💭 and at HQ we’ve been dreaming up a mega lineup for 2027! 💯

We are so excited to announce that we will be releasing this, the 🚨 FULL LINEUP 🚨 for 2027 in just 3 weeks, on the 5th November. 🙌✨💥

Stay tuned mofos! 💯

And for now. Absorb the magic ✨ captured by the wonderful @tombarrettphotography by @samstrutt

On Saturday morning, I was reading the Frome Times when I came across an article about the incredible charity 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗕𝗶𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗸, who provide free counselling to those experiencing perinatal mental health difficulties, as well as support for parents who have experienced miscarriage and baby loss.

This amazing charity relies solely on donations and receives no government funding. The article was a plea to the community for support and donations, so they can continue operating and offering their services completely free of charge.

And it was while reading that article that the decision was made that every SONORO event will support a local Frome charity, shining a little light on the incredible work they’re doing within our community.

When you purchase your ticket, you’ll have the option to add £1.50 as a donation to that event’s chosen charity. After each event, we’ll tally up the donations, and SONORO will also make a contribution from the event profits.

Because we want Sonoro to be more than just music.
It’s about bringing people together, supporting community, giving something back and spreading a bit of love on and off the dancefloor 💖

And to make this first gesture even more special, our support for our first chosen charity, 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗕𝗶𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗸 will be in honour of the very recent arrival of Sonoro's resident DJ Sam and his wonderful wife Chloe’s beautiful baby daughter.

Our vision for Sonoro has always been to book international DJs that we love and showcase them to Frome

And for our first international booking, we have the legendary Earthling as our headliner

Celli AKA Earthling has been involved in the Psy scene since his Goa trance roots in the early 1990s. Originally from Ibiza, he has spent the past three decades spinning and producing music, both as a live act and DJ. With over 300 releases, 12 albums and a music label under his belt, he’s still going strong

Earthling describes his sound as “Psychedelic blast off music to lose your marbles to!” And he’s not wrong. Expect full-power, totally immersive psychedelic sounds, packed with unreleased tracks that no one else has heard yet

We can’t wait to welcome Earthling to our next Sonoro on Friday 20th November 2026.

👂 WE ARE ALL EARS 👂

The dust has finally settled. The woods are quiet. Planning for 2027 is well underway! ✅

Thump wasn’t just a first edition festival, it was the first festival we’ve ever put on. It was a brilliant 3 days and nights and we think it went swimmingly. 😁

However, we’re aware there were some teething issues 🦷 , and we don’t just want this to be a great festival, we’re aiming to make it one of the best intimate festivals in the world. 💥

This is where we need your help 🙏 ! Tell us everything - what worked, what didn’t, what you loved, and what you’d like us to include in the next edition. ❤️

Your words don’t just help us tweak things, they shape what Thump becomes - this is a festival built by our tribe. For our tribe. 🕺💃
