Thank you @lucyconticello for your trust and such a wonderful opportunity! by @sandra_mickiewicz

A very inspiring weekend at @tate, exploring the art, photography and fashion of the 90s. The 90s: Art and Fashion exhibition felt so nostalgic.

I also highly recommend visiting @thephotographersgallery to explore William Eggleston’s work, spanning over 60 years. “All That Goes Unnoticed”simply took my breath away! by @sandra_mickiewicz

Walking on crutches with a broken foot towards the salt mines in Santa Maria, I met a teenage girl who had also broken her foot playing football with friends.

She was sitting outside her family home, and despite the language barrier, we spent some time taking portraits. The children were curious about my medium format camera and took turns looking through the viewfinder.

Standing on one leg and taking pictures wasn’t easy but the whole family welcomed me in and gave me a place to rest. by @sandra_mickiewicz

In a world where our minds are more overstimulated than ever by outside noise, endless information and algorithms, I would love to ask you to pause for a few minutes and share with you a story that I believe is both important and deeply human.

It is a story we are all a part of, because ultimately, we all live on the same planet.

Last year, I began working with @raddiscotton ,who opened their doors, wisdom and hearts to me, helping me understand the realities of cotton farming in Andhra Pradesh, South India.

The project has grown into an ongoing body of work that we both hope to continue developing, with plans to return this November and further explore the lives, challenges and resilience of the people behind the cotton we use every day.

I am truly grateful that this work has been shortlisted for the @textileexchange Photography Competition, in partnership with @atmos ,under this year’s theme Fashion Regenerated.

The competition explores the potential of clothing and textiles to create positive ecological, social and animal welfare outcomes.

For the first time, the shortlisted projects will also be decided partly by a public vote, which will account for 30% of the final judging score.

If you have a few minutes, I would be so grateful if you could take the time to look through Threads of Hope, learn a little about the people and stories behind it, and vote for the work that speaks to you.

There are many incredible stories in this competition, and each one deserves to be seen and heard. If Threads of Hope resonates with you, your vote could help bring more attention to the realities faced by cotton farmers and support the continuation of this work.

Head to link in bio to explore beautiful projects and vote!

Thank you for support.
Thank you for caring.
And thank you for believing in this story.

Sending lots of love ❤️
