A pursuit to find the Gothangaon gang that left us in complete owe of nature, the forest & all the uncertainties that it comes with.

Blessed & grateful for having to witness this miracle, will always cherish these moments.

Freedom, in its truest form, is wild. 🇮🇳🐅

On India’s Independence Day, this frame felt especially meaningful.

The saffron of the tiger, the green of the forest, colours that unintentionally came together to remind me of the flag we celebrate today.

But for India’s tigers, freedom means something far more fundamental.

It means having forests large enough to roam.
Prey enough to hunt.
Corridors safe enough to cross.
And wild spaces where they can exist without having to make room for us.

India’s tiger story is one of the greatest conservation successes in the world. But protecting the tiger can never be only about protecting a species. It is about protecting forests, rivers, grasslands, corridors and an entire ecosystem that countless other species — and ultimately, we depend upon.

Perhaps the greatest way to celebrate our freedom is to ensure that the wild inhabitants of this country are free to live theirs.

There are sightings & then there are memories.

Witnessing P141 with her 3 full grown babies, perhaps for the last time before they all go their own way, is definitely going to be one for their records!

Hope to cross paths we these 3 bold tigers soon in the new season 🐾

Also do let me know which shot is your favourite?

If you’ve ever been to Panna, I bet you’ve always dreamt of seeing a tiger at this iconic location called Chokan.

This unfortunately will be the last time I see this particular tigress at Chokan. Couple of days back P661 ruthlessly took her life leaving all of us shaken.

Have seen this litter of P151 since the last 18 months on multiple occasions and sightings, and they were fearless as ever.

Praying for the 2nd daughter’s safety, and hope she makes it through the monsoon!

Pictured are both daughters of P151’s current litter.

If you’ve ever seen a tiger in the wild, you exactly know the feeling of seeing these three 10 month old cubs with their mother P142.

Some of my favourite moments from that sighting!

Kaziranga, a unique biodiversity, unlike any other place in India.

Had the absolute privilege to witness some of the rarest & most endangered species like hoolock gibbons (the only ape species in India), one horned rhinoceros (categorised as vulnerable by IUCN) amongst the many Indian elephants, deers, hornbills, raptors and reptiles.

If you love nature & wildlife, please do visit Kaziranga!

On a late summer evening, P142 and her three rollicking cubs finally decided to grace us with an hour-long sighting, with nobody else around except us. Wary of our presence at first and occasionally mock-charging our vehicle, they soon settled into the rhythm of the evening, carrying on with their playful antics- stalking, leaping, and splashing about as only cubs can.

Moments like these are what keep drawing me back to the forests: watching young lives unfold in the wild, each sibling already revealing glimpses of the personality they will one day grow into.

I can’t wait to see them mature into fierce adults, ruling over the plateaus of Panna in the years to come.
