What would you pursue or create if you knew you couldn’t fail? I think a lot about what is holding me back creatively in my field and how I can expand my vision as a contributor to the future of archival science. I didn't use to think of myself as a creative because I deal with metadata and information systems. In many ways we depend on how information is designed so that it becomes digestible, information architecture allows me to be a visual storyteller and artist. Black professionals make up approximately 4.7% of information architects in the United States. The way information is classified, labeled, and connected reflects the worldview of the person building the systems.
