Get More from Your Solar Panels with a Rebate Up to $1,500

Keep your solar panels working for you! Silicon Valley Power offers a rebate of up to $1,500 toward a qualifying solar tune-up performed by a California-licensed solar contractor.

Regular maintenance can help your system produce electricity more efficiently, identify issues that may be reducing its output, and extend its useful life. A tune-up helps you get the most from your solar investment while the rebate helps offset maintenance costs.

⚡ Proposed SVP Rate Increase

The Santa Clara City Council will consider a proposed 2% Silicon Valley Power electric rate increase on November 17. If approved, the adjustment would take effect in January 2027.

The increase would help cover rising costs, support critical infrastructure improvements, and maintain reliable electric service.

💡 Even with the proposed adjustment, SVP rates would remain among the lowest in California.

Join Silicon Valley Power (SVP) and the City of Santa Clara in celebrating Public Power Week, Oct. 4–10, as SVP also marks a special milestone - 130 years of powering Santa Clara.

Founded in 1896, Silicon Valley Power has grown alongside Santa Clara for 130 years, from powering the community’s first electric streetlights to serving one of the most innovative and energy-intensive communities in the nation. This Public Power Week, we’re celebrating that history while looking ahead to the future of community-owned power.

SVP joins approximately 2,000 other community-powered, not-for-profit electric utilities that collectively provide electricity to more than 55 million Americans across 49 states and five U.S. territories.

We're proud to serve Santa Clara with a high level of reliability and care. As your local, community-owned utility, we prioritize customer service, energy savings and powering our community with integrity and dedication.
