Pup Tours | Episode 2: Meet Poppie 🐾 Every home tour is led by a shelter dog looking for a home too. Quick update first: our last tour guide, Redman, got adopted! 🎉 Today, Poppie is showing you around 4646 Nightstar in Medina Crossing, just south of San Antonio. She’s only five months old and already acts like she owns the place. 🏡 What Poppie loved: → A big kitchen island (she’s been told the counters are off-limits. Rude.) → A huge upstairs loft, officially the zoomies room → A fully fenced backyard with a covered patio 🐶 What Poppie is looking for: → A family to grow up with. She’s great with kids and other pets. We’re partnering with @sapetsalive to help Poppie find her family, and to help you find yours. 💬 Comment “POPPIE” if you fell in love with the home, the pup, or both. Follow for the next Pup Tour. New home, new pup, same mission. 📍 4646 Nightstar, Von Ormy, TX 78073 4 bed · 2.5 bath · 2,525 sq ft · $327,000 Faith Ramos & Erica Snapp | @malouffinternationalgroup | Keller Williams Heritage by @sapetsalive
Foster Success Story: Pongo When Pongo first landed in our care back in mid-July, the shelter was overwhelming for a senior dog like him. But just a few days later, a foster stepped up and gave him a quiet place to decompress. What was supposed to be a temporary break ended with his foster parent completely falling in love with him and making it official—Pongo was home for good! Here's what Pongo's pet parent has to say: "He LOVES water. I really don't go anywhere without him. He's my partner in crime. He loves everyone when we go through a drive thru. Everyone reaches in to pet him or at the stores, and I've been taking him to some events for kids with disabilities and he loves them! He even helped this little boy get over his fear of big dogs." Pongo's story is the perfect example of why fostering matters so much. Fostering, rather short term or long term, gets pets out of noisy over stimulated kennels and onto a cozy home where their real personalities can finally come out. It’s especially game-changing for senior dogs and cats, who are so often passed over in shelters despite being the most loving, easygoing companions you could ask for. Opening your home to a foster pet—even just for a short stay—clears up critical shelter space, saves lives directly off urgent lists, and gives these sweet animals the second chance they deserve. #SanAntonioPetsAlive #RescueDog #SeniorDog #AdoptDontShop #RescuedIsMyFavoriteBreed by @sapetsalive
