This was my first ever powerlifting competition, with only 4 months training which is insane. I’m excited to see how far I can progress with time.

I got sick 1 week out and competed still a bit sick which was a struggle lol. On top of that I got no sleep on the day LOL (the nerves got to me)

I’d like to thank all my friends who came out and supported me 😭 room was loud everytime I lifted. Also like to thank all the messages of support I got too (still going through them)

For now I really want to get back into calisthenics a little and tick some of my personal goals I have related to that. But will definitely be doing a sanctioned comp at some point very soon (and get more than 100kg squat WHICH was my goal for so long)

I’d like to thank @slackpullsquid who coached me 7 weeks leading into comp, really helped with form and technique which made a big difference. Also actually made me discover I in fact do prefer hype before I go for a lift.

@melissakavasfitness you helped build my foundation into fitness and for that I’m forever grateful. Full circle moment seeing you there to support me 🥹💖

I’d also like to shout out @alphaathletes_ for hosting such a great comp but also being so uplifting. Everyone is super supportive and friendly there. George (the owner) especially encouraged me to continue and his words really stuck with me. This is just my first comp but will definitely not be my last 🥰 by @sarah.calisthenics

5 days of progress #russianpushups by @sarah.calisthenics

How to unlock your first Russian push up! If you can do 10 strict push ups, you could easily get this in a day #russianpushups #pushups #russianpushuptutorial #calisthenics by @sarah.calisthenics

Sometimes you gotta look back to appreciate what you have now. Getting back into posting again after a well needed break😅 by @sarah.calisthenics

Old clip cause I’ve been sick past few days, nothing new with my Victoria era child immunity rip. Cant wait to train hard again to cope with life 💀 by @sarah.calisthenics

Muscle up progress day 7. Honestly just in 7 days getting some advice on how I can improve my technique has helped a lot. Idk how long it’s gonna take me, I feel like I have the strength for it but not the explosiveness yet. Just gonna take time to practise #muscleup #calisthenics by @sarah.calisthenics

100KG PR @ 50KG BW. NOT comp standard, but I’m off season 🫣

+40KG to my squat since start of the year
tried pre workout today for the first time so I decided why not. Will re attempt to depth after I’ve done my rep work. Dropped weight too, previous pr was 95kg @ 51kg. Excited to get back into powerlifting next year tho

S/o to my side spotters @roidragerani @rushy_fit by @sarah.calisthenics

The exact blueprint to how I got my first pull up

1) Negatives (2x a week 2-3 sets)
2) Chin ups (1x a week, 2-3 sets AMRAP)
3) Resistance Band Pull Ups (1x a week, 3 sets, 8-10 reps)
4) Scapular Pull ups (I just did these as a drop set after doing negatives)
5) Deadhangs (It gets you use to holding your body weight which is great, but as a progression to pull ups, I rank this the least effective)

Hope that helps, and follow for more pull up advice 🫶

I always post my progress because I want people to realise it’s possible for them to achieve that level too. It didn’t just come to me naturally, couldn’t even do a single push up. But I want to remind you that every person that is a master at something was also once a beginner by @sarah.calisthenics

Quicker you accept failure, the quicker you will actually progress #bench by @sarah.calisthenics

Investing in myself has also caused the biggest confidence spike in my life which I’ve never experienced before the gym by @sarah.calisthenics

Swipe left for numbers. My gym journey is honestly so over the place. Spent first year just learning the form for stuff. 2nd year losing 11kg, dropping to 45kg. Then this year putting on weight and learning bench squat and deadlift for powerlifting lol by @sarah.calisthenics
