If you’re new here, I’m so glad you found me.

I built my photography business from the messy beginning, too, undercharging, overworking and wondering if this could ever earn a real income.

It did.

And now I help photographers build profitable boutique businesses that serve clients beautifully without stealing their whole life.

If you’re a portrait photographer who wants a business that actually supports your family, you’re in the right place.

Follow along. I’ll show you how. by @sarah.petty

People ask me all the time what actually happens inside our photography coaching community.

Here’s the scoop. It’s true that learning the Boutique Model, pricing your wall art profitably, running your first in-person ordering appointment... all of that changes your photography business.

But the thing that changes YOU is being surrounded by portrait photographers who get it. People who understand the head trash that creeps in when you raise your prices. People who cheer the loudest when you have your biggest sale ever.

Your family loves you, but they don’t understand why you’re redoing your price list at 10 pm. Other photographers building a profitable photography business do. They’ve been in that same spot and they’ll remind you what’s on the other side of it. by @sarah.petty

Comment “Sheet” and I’ll send you the exact weekly planning sheet I use.

The restaurants, hotels and small businesses you never forget are not winging it. There is a system behind every moment that feels effortless.

This one page helps me do what matters most first: write the notes, make the calls and move one marketing task forward every week.

That’s how the little things stop falling through the cracks. by @sarah.petty

If you think good salespeople are just born that way, I’m proof that’s not true.

Selling is a skill, and you can learn it. Even if you’re shy. Even if you’re new. 😉 What other selling questions do you have about your photography business? by @sarah.petty

Black Friday is coming, and I know how loud it gets in your head right about now.

Everyone around you is posting a sale, and you’re wondering if you have to run one too just to keep up.

Here’s what I want you to know, my friend: In 28 years as a portrait photographer, I’ve sold over $3 million of my portraits without discounting. And I figured out how to do it without showing up drained for my own family’s holiday celebrations.

These are the 3 promotions I’d run this year. The wording is what makes each one work, so I put all of it in a free guide for you.

Comment PROMO and I’ll send it your way 🧡 by @sarah.petty

Somebody at your next family get-together is going to ask about your “little photography hobby.” I hear from photographers every year who dread that moment.

So here’s what I want you to remember when it comes. You built this in the gaps of your day, between drop-off and dinner and bedtime, with no boss and no paycheck waiting for you.

I’d call that a business, my friend. A pretty impressive one.

Send this to the photographer who’ll be sitting at that table. by @sarah.petty

I’m saying this with love, okay? More years alone won’t grow your photography business.

Have you fallen into the trap of believing that, too? by @sarah.petty

What’s the task you put off every single week? by @sarah.petty

Photographer friends, holiday card season is coming fast, and local businesses are already planning theirs. Before quoting a price, I’d look at what that relationship could mean for your business.

Is this something you think could work for you? Let me know as I have some training I can send your way. by @sarah.petty

You have a long list of past clients. Most only bought a small print or digital files. That list is probably worth a lot more than you think.🤔

How many are on your past client list over the years? by @sarah.petty

There’s a lot pulling at you this month.

Families want their portraits ready by Christmas, your inbox is full of Black Friday sales and your own family is wondering when you’ll finally be done so you can make cookies with them.

I remember those Novembers, back when I had 3 little kiddos and was trying to hold it all together.

So here’s what I want you to hear before the holidays get loud. The families you photographed this year are going to walk past your work every day, in their own homes, for years.

And you get to sit down at your own table, too.

Save this for the week it all feels heavy. 🧡 by @sarah.petty
