Lovecraft in India written by @sarpvinash and illustrated by @harsho_chattoraj is one of the most interesting projects I worked on last year, mainly because of the extensive research the team has put in and how beautifully Harsho has captured the Lovecraft vibe. Before everything, this was a love letter to H.P. Lovecraft from Jai, which we tried our best to bring to life in a graphic novel form. The book looks solid and we are all super happy about it. I am waiting for @syenagiri to get this one out in print so I can flex at @comicconindia.
.
PS: Will make a detailed post later about how the whole research process went and how we used it in the book to bring “believability” to the fiction.
.
Kudos to Jai and Harsho for putting up with my crazy schedule with patience. It also helped my work because I happened to travel to Kolkata for Comic Con and got to see some of the places that are actually in the book. It made me settle into the work better. Can’t wait to hold this book in my hands. ❤️ by @sarpvinash

I spent this summer at the Hub Feenix artist residency in Finland. I was working on a script for a graphic novel with artist Kishore Mohan at the time. We needed to set a scene and I thought a guest room in the residence would do well as the protagonist’s living room. You can see how we worked so I could get the references to Kishore, and his vision of the final look. by @sarpvinash

DP EP #5 : Around a year ago @sarpvinash conducted a workshop for the @indycomicscommune on writing for comics. He details his process of “letting his mind get bored” and how one needs to hold on to a particular visual and how this process is a virtuous cycle. What are your thoughts? How do you think of writing for comics?
