The mix wanted us to try to book more live bands for Metal Mondays so...we booked fucking SACRAMENTUM & CROSSSPITER 😎 last night was phenomenal, thanks to everyone who came out and supported, thanks to our small but dedicated crew for handling business and getting shit done and thanks to all the bands for what was nothing less than a historic San Antonio evening with a legendary swedish black metal band! @inexorablehordeproductions has helped us prove that we can pull off some killer shows when working together, and most importantly shown the city that San Antonio metal is still dangerous! Cheers! @liiisafer @cheesy_metal @crossspitter @black_jackal_tx @unnecessary_surgerytxdm @sacramentumofficial #metalmondaysatthemix #merchantsofheavymetal #crossspiter #sacramentum #sanantonio #sanantoniometal by @satanic_panic_san_antonio

Deathless Void "MMXXI" demo ("MMXXI" means "2021," the year the music was recorded, this release being early 2022). Deathless Void play Dutch Black Metal with no-frills intensity and riffage in the same raw, unorthodox style as early Watain and Mayhem, Katharsis, Funeral Mist or Ofermod. There's something fundamentally perfect about a Black Metal band that just drops a killer demo and follow-up album, plays a few shows and simply exists, they don't have to constantly pine for attention, overly explain themselves or try to sell a million shirts because they don't care, they simply are. We found out about these guys after a solid recommendation from @iambakka about a year ago, and we're excited to find them on vinyl out in the wild #satanicpanicsanantonio #deathlessvoid #blackmetal by @satanic_panic_san_antonio

THIS FRIDAY COME GET RIFFED, ANOTHER $5 BANGER AT FAUST @cerebraldesecrationtx @chironextx @dreadlandband @phantasmopizzeria #sanantoniometal by @satanic_panic_san_antonio

Morbosidad "Profano la Cruz del Nazareno" picture disc, pressed somewhere in 2009. Picked this up when T. Stench moved to San Antonio around 2013. We've had an abundance of morboso merch since then; shirts, hoodies, backpatches, CDs, 7" and albums (we probably have 6 or 7 pieces of vinyl at this point). Over the last 13 years we've seen Morbosidad a dozen times in 3 or 4 cities, a lot of us have played several shows with Morbosidad and we've had a bunch of friends in the lineup, this band has been a huge part of Texas metal for the last decade and this album on CD was the introduction to them, containing such hits as "Sádico Sacrilegio Nocturno," Escupe la Maldita Cruz" and "Consagración de Satanás." Also including our copy of the 1994 "Santísima Muerte" demo cassette as a flex 💪#satanicpanicsanantonio #morbosidad #blackdeathmetal #warmetal by @satanic_panic_san_antonio

This Thursday we're back at @hitones_sa, the drinks are tasty, the weather will be nice and it'll be a fun night, if you have friends coming to town for the Acid Bath show come show them around #satanicpanicsanantonio #sanantoniometal by @satanic_panic_san_antonio

Updated flyer for this Friday, go figure that the day after we posted this last week all the little copycats started making their own after parties (🙄😏) so Friday will be busy in town BUT we got the spot that's a straight shot down the street & across the highway, there's food, cheap drinks, free parking, tattoos, vendors and RIFFS so come make us play some fuckin' bangers after the show and even if you're not going, grab the fellas & come to @stellasonsouthflores #satanicpanicsanantonio #sanantoniometal #acidbath #firstfridaysanantonio by @satanic_panic_san_antonio

Varathron "Sarmutius Pelorus" 1997 demo, released once on vinyl by Floga Records in 2014 on 300 copies. When you hear "Greek Black Metal" there are probably 2 names you think of first; Rotting Christ and Varathron. Both bands started in the late 80s, both bands have amazing music in their early years but Rotting Christ became more successful/mainstream and their music is...ok these days, whereas Varathron is still relatively obscure but puts out better music. Varathron already did their 2 best albums in 1993 & 1995 before recording this 3 song demo in 1997, they wouldn't release much until 2004 when these 3 songs were included on their next album. This demo is amazing, the tracks here are as good or better than anything Dimmu Borgir/Cradle of Filth/Rotting Christ/Samael/Moonspell were doing at the time, 2 tracks of raw black metal with top-tier riffs layered with keyboards and a horn/violin instrumental that gives Castlevania a run for it's money. If you love raw, violent black metal with an ancient/vampiric atmosphere then come ask us to spin some Varathron. #satanicpanicsanantonio #varathron #greekblackmetal #blackmetal by @satanic_panic_san_antonio

We're throwing a Tolkien-themed night this month at @stellasonsouthflores, medieval dress is encouraged, we'll be spinning swords & sorcery/Tolkien-inspired metal records & dungeon synth along with music from the movies, and we have a special record of JRR Tolkien himself reading and singing. We'll bring a dungeon synth wizard or two out to perform as well. The flyer will be done soon, in the meantime dust off your chainmail, your swords, your cloaks and your robes, await the decree #satanicpanicsanantonio #sanantoniometal #sanantoniodungeonsynth #lordoftherings #jrrtolkein by @satanic_panic_san_antonio
