Last month I turned 40 and my darling wife made an epic satay dish that was indescribably good! What a great way to start a new decade. 🥰🤩🥳 by @satay_score
Sydney airport. The satay at Taste of Thai delivers. I must be getting close to my tenth tasting of their satay. I’ll keep going back like a kid to a candy store. It’s consistently good so I won’t use the normal rating index. It tastes good if you eat it in the lounge, at gate 44 or on a flight. Its greatest ability is its reliability. I will call out the crunchy texture, the sparkling glaze - what is that?! And the nutty sauce is delicious. It’s a staple on work trips. I’m on my way up to Brisbane for three days with work so I’m on the hunt for the best satay in Brisbane. Shoot me any tips. I’m closing in on 50 satay tastings too. It’s been a great ride so far. And we are just getting started!! How many satays will there be this week?!? What’s the most satays you’ve ever had in a week. by @satay_score
I recently had my bday dinner out with a few mates and it just so happened to involve a few satays! A reminder the satay score guide is out of 25. 5 categories with 5 points per category. 22.5/25 for this satay. Satay is good when you get one dish. And it gets better when you have two! I ordered the standard satay however a mate got the crispy chicken satay. Ive rated these as a combo however the crispy chicken was out of this world. Check out that second pic!!! 🌶️ Curry spice = 4 🥜 Crunchy and creamy sauce texture = 5 🥩 🐓 🍤 Juicy = 4.5 🥕 🥦 Healthy = 4.5 🍚 Steamy = 4.5 #food #life #love #satay DM your favourite satay restaurant or recipe. by @satay_score
Today I’m in Sydney airport heading to the @c3australia conference on the Gold Coast. The key to attending a great conference is fuelling yourself and satay chicken is the best fuel I know. This might surprise you but satay for brunch is when you know you are making good life choices. I reckon my mum would be proud. The airport Thai is a staple for me. It’s a sweet and crunchy satay. It’s always scores mid on my satay score but very high on the life satisfaction levels!! A reminder the satay score guide is out of 25. 5 categories with 5 points per category. 20/25 for this satay. 🌶️ Curry spice = 3/5 🥜 Crunchy and creamy sauce texture = 4.5 🥩 🐓 🍤 Juicy = 4.5 🥕 🥦 Healthy = 4 🍚 Steamy = 4 #food #life #love #satay What’s tour favourite restaurant to get satay from in the world? I would love to know because I would love to go there! by @satay_score
This is an incredible satay! We made satay at home for dinner last night. Yum!!! by @satay_score
Today I’m in Adelaide and I’ve got a full stomach from a mega tasty satay from a gorgeous restaurant @8020bk right in the heart of Adelaide’s city. How did the takeaway satay score? A reminder the satay score guide is out of 25. 5 categories with 5 points per category. 22.5/25 for this mega satay. Let me explain this one. It was mega portions, super tasty, but came with a salad on the side. The chicken was oh so tender and had a smoky aroma. The sauce had incredible textures and I was literally scraping the container to get everything last drop. It was epic! 🌶️ Curry spice = 4.5 🥜 Crunchy and creamy sauce texture = 5 🥩 🐓 🍤 Juicy = 5 🥕 🥦 Healthy = 3.5 🍚 Steamy = 4.5 #food #life #love #satay DM your favourite satay restaurant or recipe. by @satay_score
When Nana makes satay, you don’t rate it. You absolutely enjoy it!! Summer bliss. Satay and sunshine. Does life get any better? by @satay_score
I ate Junk today. Please listen to me. Do this if you love satay! Get on a plane, go to The Sunshine Coast and head to Ocean Street. Junk’s Satay Bowl was the first item on their rad menu design. First. I have never seen that before. I knew I was going to enjoy this first place menu item. How did I discover it? I had a new work contact recommend this place and then another person in the area recommended it as well. If you love satay like me, add this place to your must-have satays! How did it score on my satay score? First, a reminder the satay score is out of 25. There’s 5 categories with 5 points per category. 24.5/25 for this satay. Satay Story. 🌶️ Curry spice = 4.5 🥜 Crunchy and creamy sauce texture = 5/5 🥩 🐓 🍤 Juicy = 5/5 🥕 🥦 Healthy = 5/5 🍚 Steamy = 5/5 Yep, that’s right it was almost flawless! Just a tad more spice would make smoke come out my ears and good tears out my eyes!! I’m gonna take a moment and share why this one was special! - the chunks of tender chicken strips were succulent, great size for consumption and there was plenty of them to fill me up! - the texture in this meal was unreal. Crunchy satay sauce with peanut chunks, plus there was these little crispy bits, perhaps onion crisps that were delicious! - it’s no secret that coconut cream or coconut milk is a key ingredient but I loved how the satay bowl had a drizzling of coconut cream on top of the generous satay sauce. It looked and tasted superb! Plus, the fact that the menu listed satay first and also that it was such a cool designed menu spoke to me. Satay isn’t the last idea at a restaurant, it’s the first priority for me. I appreciated they shared that philosophy! I’m so glad I asked about a good satay at the end of a work meeting this week. Where else do I need to go to enjoy satay? What restaurant or market has done the best satay you’ve ever tasted? Comment below and let me know. #food #life #love #satay DM your favourite satay restaurant or recipe. by @satay_score
Today I’m in the mighty Blacktown Workers Sport all you can eat buffet with almost 30 guys from church. I could have started with dessert or pork ribs, but the satay was calling. How did it rate? A reminder the satay score guide is out of 25. 5 categories with 5 points per category. 8/25 for this satay. Even though it was an unlimited supply of satay sadly I didn’t feel the need to go back for seconds. It’s the first time I’ve had all you can eat with satay on the menu and I am glad I didn’t let my excitement get out of hand. This could have been better with a big dose of spice and crunchy nuts to boost the texture. Thankfully I gave the company 5/5 for the night and also the second plate was really good. Ribs, chips, more fried rice and a range of Chinese dishes with my childhood favourite, honey chicken. 🌶️ Curry spice = 1.5 🥜 Crunchy and creamy sauce texture = 1 🥩 🐓 🍤 Juicy = 2.5 🥕 🥦 Healthy = 1.5 🍚 Steamy = 1.5 #food #life #love #satay DM your favourite satay restaurant or recipe. by @satay_score
Lovely satay chicken from Thai Master in Eastern Creek. I was recently in Eastern Creek for a talk on the future of sport for Blacktown Council. A reminder the satay score guide is out of 25. 5 categories with 5 points per category. 23/25 for this satay. When you are gearing up for a big keynote preso, you really need a big feast (not really!) but the chance to get a spicy satay was well worth it from this new Thai shop. The best part was that spicy heat. I got the flu the next day and barely ate for a few days. This solid meal kept me going. How good is a satay!!?! 🌶️ Curry spice = 5 🥜 Crunchy and creamy sauce texture = 4.5 🥩 🐓 🍤 Juicy = 4.5 🥕 🥦 Healthy = 4.5 🍚 Steamy = 4.5 #food #life #love #satay DM your favourite satay restaurant or recipe. by @satay_score
