Full 54 min Making of Totem Doc out on YouTube now. Here’s the first 7 mins or so. Hope y’all like it. This was a very tough album to make and definitely took the most time and effort of any project we’ve ever created, so I hope to our more dedicated fans it will be interesting to see deeper inside our writing and recording process, especially for a record this insane lol. Biggest thanks in the world to @nylumed for filming, editing, conceptualizing, etc this doc. He’s the man he’s my best friend you should hire him to make you content. Also huge huge thanks to @killiconicrecords for making this album possible in the first place. Go stream Totem and Totem Instrumentals. Bye. by @satyratl

In honor of @satyratl releasing the instrumental version of Totem tomorrow, @roy.enox and I decided to take a stab at, in our opinion, one of the hardest bass riffs on the record. This section was taken from the song, “Haven.” What else should Roy and I cover? 👀 - @dingwallguitars @darkglasselectronics @neuraldsp - #satyr #satyrband #dingwall #dingwallbass #basscover #swancore #mathcore #mathrock #djent #killiconic #killiconicrecords #bassist #bassplayer #bassistsofinstagram #bassists #dualbass #dgd #dancegavindance by @satyratl
Totem Instrumentals out everywhere Friday 6/30 ‼️‼️ Hey y’all. In 2 days we will be releasing the instrumental version of our most recent album Totem. All of us are very excited for this release as it marks one year since Totem came out! These songs started out as instrumental demos, fully fleshed out structurally before vocals were added. Usually from a songwriting standpoint it’s not the best idea to do it this way when you know vocals will be on the songs from the beginning lol, but the writing process flowed so well and the structures felt so right that we ended up being extremely happy with the instrumentals as finished songs, before even touching vocals. So in a lot of ways the instrumentals are the truest form of these songs, wonder what y’all will think. @killiconicrecords by @satyratl
