POSTS STORIES REELS

From NUSRL to NLUJ & being in the circles of HNLU, NLIU, I wish I realised this sooner!

1. #clat is not the tough part, the struggle begins after you enter into the university! The shift from school to college, from UG to PG, lifestyle, money, academics, socials, athletics, everything takes a toll!

2. You will get ample of opportunities to learn & develop every skill - but no time & energy! Because of the rigorous demands of academics! The problems you didn’t even knew existed will start popping up due to stress & changes!

3. The competition for everything, every space is high - because everybody is there by merit! So you will have to be in a constant competitive state since day 1, for your spot in Moot Court, in sports team, in committees, in clubs, in posts, in dating life, in ranks, in medals, yes, everything!

4. Nobody is your real homie here - unless you are lucky! Most of the people will emotionally or resourcefully drain you out, unless you create boundaries from day 1! People seek what you can offer them, not you!

5. Favouritism exists everywhere - but only real talent + hardwork can outrun that! Don’t fall into any favouritism traps from any section of people, stay neutral to be on the best safe side! Learn this early, don’t let time teach you that!

6. Ratting out on people is not cool - unless you love being outcasted. You need to have team spirit despite unfavourable people & situations, because that’s where the real benefit lies! Standing alone invites a lot of pressure, mental & emotional!

Been through NLU Ranchi & NLU Jodhpur, w/ worst financial decisions!

🏦Nobody warns you before but law university is expensive. Fees can range from 90K to 1.2L per semester.

🏦Scholarships are available, including government & private grants, but the process is long & slow till which you will bear the most of your fees.

🏦Despite hostel & mess, the living cost adds up a lot. It varies from person to person, but you can’t skip this expense. It’s somewhere around 3-10K or more per month.

🏦The real struggle begins after you clear CLAT. swift transfer of the whole fees within a couple of days to lock seat in vacancy, is another financial burden.

🏦 The whole form and counselling fees is already added up before you even enter any college. Plus the necessities you will have to invest in, just before you enter the campus alotted.

🏦 The festival travels to & fro home with receiving & sending gifts or festivities, varies but can’t be ignored. The travel alone can cost you around 7K-20K depending upon your distance & mode.

🏦 The new medical issues & new medical bills unfortunately but truly due to water, food, weather, etc. to the extent of costing you per trip 1k-50K if you get admitted seriously due to common issues like food poisoning or water related.

Follow me & send me your doubts in DM, will discuss exact college wise financial breakdown.

I got NUSRL Ranchi for 5 Years B.A.LLB & NLU Jodhpur for LLM because I stopped doing these..!! ‼️
1. Stop avoiding mocks. Score low but it’s important to attend maximum mocks to get habituated of attending the paper, circling the OMR, reading fast, comprehending accurately. It’s not always about marks.

2. Skipping reading. This won’t help! Read actively & passively. Include newspapers to improve language, Include passages to improve comprehension. This will teach you to read fast, & skip selectively what’s superfluous.

3. Stop waiting for GOOD DAYS or MOTIVATING DAYS. It’s a lifestyle, a habit, a daily chore, a non-negotiable choice to sit for hours & study. In health or in sickness, study by any means suitable but don’t waste a day. Use NLU’s pictures on wallpaper for motivation if needed!

4. Watch YouTube videos on one topic from different channels or different lengths because one person will never be able to cover extensively enough so it’s better to rely on all the sources. Include yt shorts, Instagram reels, & expert lectures on the topics like AOR or Judges.

5. Stop ignoring TELEGRAM! It is the best source for reading materials, making like minded peer groups, getting encouragement, clearing doubts, accessing mocks, paywalled lectures and other resources you need. Do not skip Reddit & Instagram for updates. Apps like Inshots or others are too overwhelming for GK & CA updates, so stick to basic reliable sources tending to national level exams & not just events dumpyard apps!

6. Stop being shy! Reach out to creators, teachers, experts, seniors in your field to get answers because we do answer and we don’t judge!

How did we start from Tryst with Destiny by Nehru, Grammar of Anarchy by Ambedkar, Unity of Minds by Kalam ….. to the present state of affairs?

Excerpts from my educational visit to the Parliament, and my closing thoughts upon feeling the immense power of debates and speeches in this particular central hall, now Sansad Bhavan.
