Dear ECU... Man, where do I start? Coming to ECU on August 18th, 2021, I had big dreams that I thought might never be possible. If it weren’t for believing in God and putting all my faith in Him, none of this would have happened. The trials and tribulations, smiles, the tears at night, late night studying, telling my parents I didn’t think I could make it through college making connections, but also breaking some shaped me into the man I am today. I was the person always outside but still heavily involved on campus. A lot of people thought I didn’t care about scholarship, but I was active in so many organizations: SAB, the 2022 Homecoming Committee, T.E.A.M., 419, Yacht Club, and Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. Becoming President of the Black Student Union showed me that I can achieve anything I set my mind to. Being able to attend the Super Bowl in Las Vegas through the College of Health and Human Performance ignited my passion for working in sports, which ultimately led me to build connections with the ECU Women’s Basketball Team. To those who doubted me, the challenges I faced, and even some professors who believed I wouldn’t make it through college, look at me now! With that being said Thank You ECU for the amazing 4 years… Savion, Sav, Baby BSU, Mr.BECU, Prez, Tail, 1OF1 signing owt💜 by @sav.ionn
