POSTS STORIES REELS

Savage was never just a dog. He was a presence. A force. A once in a lifetime soul. He was my unicorn. He was everything I wanted in a mal.

From the very beginning, he did everything with heart, loving hard, playing hard, training hard. He was the kind of dog that made you proud just to stand at the end of his leash. Strong, powerful, confident… but at home, he was the biggest baby. His pillow. His chair. His goofy, social personality that made everyone fall in love with him within minutes. After his passing, you all warmed my heart with your support and stories. 🙏🫶

He was special in a way that’s hard to explain unless you knew him. He had that spark, that spice that made him unforgettable. He didn’t just exist in a room…..he filled it. Maybe some of it was his looks, but most loved his personality.

As a sport dog, he gave me everything. Every session. Every rep. Every moment together was happiness for us. He taught me patience, resilience, and how to show up even on the hard days. He pushed me to be better because he was smart. I had to out smart him. It’s wasn’t always easy. Losing a sport dog hits differently because they are your partner in the truest sense. Hours upon hours, side by side, building something only the two of us understood. Savage was a huge part of my day. He was my teammate. My heart on four legs. My soul dog.

But beyond the titles and training fields, he was my comfort. My shadow. My constant. My travel buddy. He could go anywhere. The dog whose chair now sits empty. The one whose food dish still has his name on it, sitting empty. The one who made this house feel full, alive and a little bit messy...

Savage was a fighter until the very end. Anyone who knew him, knew that about him. Strength was woven into who he was, not just physically, but in spirit. He faced everything head on. That was always his way.

He leaves behind silence where there used to be movement. Stillness where there used to be chaos. And a love so deep it will never fade.

Savage was not ordinary. He was extraordinary. He was deeply loved, and is deeply missed. He will forever be a part of who I am.

Run free, my beautiful boy. Until we meet again. 💚 by @savage031523

He is comfort. He is safety. He is loyalty without expectations or conditions. He is the steady presence that anchors me when the world feels too loud, too heavy. He’s my sport dog, my movie dog, my trick dog… but more than anything, he’s my ride or die; the best buddy.

He didn’t just become my dog 3 years ago, he became a part of me and my family and no matter where life takes us, I’ll never forget this journey we are on together. I’ll never have another dog like him ❤️Incredibly thankful for him @trevisonedogs @dagger.dogs @knoxx_n_tam Thank you!

Forever my companion. Forever my best boy. 🫶💕 by @savage031523

Grief is strange. I can go about my day, laugh, smile, and carry on. Then suddenly I remember that you’re really gone, and my heart breaks all over again. You were the dog I never knew I needed, the love I never knew existed, and the goodbye I will never understand. Miss you my boy! 💚🪽 by @savage031523

The start of our Retreive. 💚🪽 I was sooo excited for his Retreive as we spent the last winter working so hard on it. He ended up loving that exercise sooo much. Puppy foundations are some of my favorite training times. I never had this opportunity with Birdy and Syn. I was sooo excited greatful I had it with savage. Miss him more than ever. 💚🪽 by @savage031523

One of the first things I taught him was the Yes (food from me) and get it (food or toy off of me). He was always so eager to learn and that’s something I grew to love most about him and the breed. 💚🪽 by @savage031523

I miss everything about him! 💚🪽 by @savage031523

I have so much to say and to be thankful for this weekend. Birdy PSA 1 Canadian Regional Vice champion with High Obedience. More to come but for now, we finished the weekend off with a possible broken finger and it’s tough to text left handed. 😂 so more to come later. Thank you to miss bird for being the best girl for me with very little training and very little time to get to this point. I’m so proud of her for giving it her all 💜 this one is for you @savage031523 💚🪽We miss you my boy.

MY HEART HAS BEEN HEALING BECAUSE OF THIS GIRL. 💜🙏After losing Savage, I wasn’t sure how to find my way forward. Then there was Birdy. She never replaced him, and she never could. Instead, she gave me a reason to keep showing up, keep training, keep laughing, and keep moving forward. She’s helped me find pieces of myself I thought I had lost and reminded me that it’s okay to keep moving forward while still carrying the ones we’ve lost.

Birdy, you have no idea how much you’ve helped mend my heart. I appreciate you more than you’ll ever know my little girl 💜 she’s perfectly imperfect. 💜

I taught savage this trick for his trick title. The goal was a nose to nose touch but he always insisted on touching my mouth. 🤮🤣 it was hard to break. The night I was allowed in to see him in isolation, I suited up and walked in. He lifted his head and I told him “I love you buddy” and did this very thing. Even in his weakest moments he wanted to be a good boy and be obedient. The vet said that was the most alert he had been since he got there. He even tried to get up. The next morning he got worse and we had to say goodbye. I’ll forever remember this trick as his. Anyone who told him they loved him he would do this. It is now something special I hold onto. That visit is one I will cherish forever. Miss you so much my boy. 💚🪽 by @savage031523
