A few months ago I overpaid for a broken rusty 1976 Schwinn Continental on Facebook Marketplace… turned it into a sweet restoration project with @savage__industries by @savage__industries
Just finished an outdoor table for my dad! It was great working with wood again after so long by @savage__industries
Some closeups of some of my favorite posters! Also a comparison of the very first poster I made that started all of this and the finalized poster (@tatemcrae ). Also thanks to Rachel for literally looking at 100+ posters as I made them and needed validation Next step printing! by @savage__industries
First project post college complete! I always loved going to concerts and I wished there was a way I could commemorate them without spending money on merch since it’s so expensive. So I started making posters of them with the setlist, opener (if there was one), place, day, time, the seat I was in, the people I saw it with, and of course my logo (gotta brand it somehow) I’ve seen 27 concerts so far and they’ve all been awesome. I’ll be printing all of these 12x18 posters out and putting them in a portfolio. Overall this project took me 1.5 months to design all of the posters and then an additional week because I realized the initial size I designed them for, 12x16 (thanks Canva) was not a common size to get printed at places. The only place I could get it printed in that size would be $5.50 a poster which would easily cost $150+. Resizing to 12x18 allowed me to find a place that could print them for $1.20 each. It did just suck cuz after designing all 27 of them I had to go back and re size and align all 27 again. The lesson here is: if you’re going to make copies based on a single design, it’s better to perfect that design first and make sure it’s feasible than to perfect all of the copies later by @savage__industries
Some of my major projects I made during college: LED Cornhole: A cornhole set with LEDs in it that react to the bag hitting the board and going into the hole with sensors Machinist Hammer: A hammer I made using the lathe and mill with detachable bits. There’s 5 bits made of different materials varying in hardness levels (nylon, brass, aluminum, titanium, stainless steel) Autonomous Cardboard Box Folder: A machine that autonomously folds any sized box that I made in senior design with some peers of mine for Amazon Robotics. Steamer Lamp: A sheet metal lamp with an adjustable shade. This was THE FIRST SAVAGE INDUSTRIES project (can be seen on the nameplate) and started this entire journey back in January 2024. by @savage__industries
Welcome! I’m super excited to start this account and share my journeys as I make a bunch of awesome personal projects I’ve been thinking about. I’ll be working on several mechanical, electrical and software projects and combinations of them! As some of my first followers you’ll get to say you knew SAVAGE INDUSTRIES before it blew up!! 💥 by @savage__industries
