WE WON ONE TONIGHT.

The referendum to protect the ball fields passed unanimously. That happened because you showed up, you posted, you called, you made it impossible to ignore. That’s it. That’s how this works.

A second item to preserve property on Haney Creek passed too. Campbell Rich voted no on letting you decide. Fire this guy tomorrow.

Here’s the part nobody should sleep on. This vote can be rescinded. It can come off the November ballot. Group 3 decides whether it holds.

That’s tomorrow. That’s the whole thing.

We shouldn’t have to fight this hard to have a say over our own property. It’s ours. Let us vote on whether it ever gets sold or leased. Period. Fire Eula Clarke and Campbell Rich.

Polls open tomorrow, Tuesday, August 18. Vote Ogden for Group 3.

We’re going to protect these ball fields. I’m going to make you proud.

Let’s keep Stuart, Stuart. 🐟

There’s a special commission meeting at City Hall at 5:30 to put a charter amendment on the November 3 ballot — one that would require voter approval before the city can sell or lease Sailfish Park or Guy Davis Park. Translation: it takes the ball fields out of the hands of three people on a Monday night and puts them in yours.

Don’t want to wake up a couple years from now in a city you don’t recognize?

Two steps.

1. Show up tonight. City Hall, 5:30. Ask Eula Clarke and Campbell Rich to stop delaying and get this on the ballot.
2. Vote tomorrow. Derreck Ogden, Group 3, Stuart City Commission. Polls open 7 AM to 7 PM.

Once it’s gone, you don’t get it back.

🔥 So the manager at Island Root goes, “Derreck, you look like somebody who knows how to grill.”

...what is that supposed to mean? 🤨

Anyway. 🍔 I’m grilling at Island Root tonight until we run out of meat.

Come eat. Come say hi. Come tell me what that comment meant. 😂

🗳️ And vote Ogden for Stuart City Commission, Group 3 on Tuesday.

Let’s keep Stuart, Stuart. 🐟
