I'm Julie 7 Sage, and I'm an inventor, science communicator, and a physics PhD student!

POSTS STORIES REELS

I graduated summa cum laude from UMass Lowell with a bachelor's in Physics and a minor in Math with honors. I’ve also accepted a PhD offer at UMass Lowell, and this summer is going to be very busy! I'd really like some ideas to help with a Patreon or similar subscriptions.

I voted and so should you!!

Voting is one of the most important things you can do in this country, and everyone should go to the polls and vote if you haven't done a mail-in ballot.

It doesn't matter how much you post about stuff online, etc, if you don't go to the polls and vote and make sure that we put people in the government that are at least partially working for our interests.

So please, check when the polls close today, and make sure to go to your polling location before they close to fill in the bubbles on that ballot.

Yesterday was the amazing @scicomsummit at the @museumofscience! I luckily was able to get a ticket at the last minute (the day before, not the actual last minute lol) so I was able to watch some really cool science communicators give their thoughts on science communication.

I was also able to catch up with some longtime friends, @natalia13reagan and @tracedominguez. Which I had no clue Trace was that tall, like seriously 😭 he had to kneel on the ground for us to get a picture where I didn't have to stretch my arm to the maximum

I was also able to see @hevesh5 again, where the last time we saw each other was EduCon sooo many years ago, so that was really cool to talk again! I was also able to meet @sofishtication_, where we've talked a bit online before, and she's super cool. All of these creators I've tagged are super cool, and you should totally follow them!

And my last note is I was able to talk to some very awesome creators about collaborating, so watch out for some very interesting crossovers 👀👀👀

I did unfortunately miss some of the talks because I had to go all the way back to my college campus for one of my physics grad classes, and then come back after 😭

The final video for Science Halloweek, and this one is dedicated to the amazing Cassandra Peterson, aka @therealelvira

Losing your blood is a common fear, but it isn't common to fear losing your blood from a moth. The vampire moth has been observed to drink human blood....but why?

Comment which of the four Science Halloweek videos you like the best!

In just less than an hour, I'll be running our Halloween-themed Explore the Universe show in the Charles Hayden Planetarium at the @museumofscience! So if you're in Boston and looking for something fun to do, come on down and learn about a ton of the spooky things that are in space 🎃👻

Also, I am currently just an intern at the museum, and this post is not an official collaboration with the museum, and I'm just promoting the show cause I think it'll be really cool

What happens when humans are put into the vacuum of space? It's not what the sci-fi media shows, and we actually have an idea of what happens due to a spacesuit accident at NASA

Live in the Boston area and looking for something fun to do on Halloween? Come to the @museumofscience Planetarium for a spooky planetarium show filled with a ton of fun space facts!

Also, important note that I'm still just an intern at the museum that works every Saturday, so this isn't an official collaboration or anything like that with the museum, just thought it'd be a fun thing to promote 🎃

Spooky season requires some spooooky fungus fun facts. Specifically the Ghost Fungus and Jack-O-Lantern Mushroom, which glow for a reason we're not quite sure yet 👻🎃🍄

The first video of Science Hallo-week, and it's about infrasound. Something you won't even know is there, but could make you see ghosts. Maybe there's infrasound around you right now making you see this ghost 👻

It is Science Halloweek!!!!!

I have a group of videos coming out for my favorite time of the year!!!! Now I have been told by a few parents and guardians that they watch my videos with very young kids. I just want to make sure those young ones don't see something you wouldn't want them to see. So most of the videos are all age friendly, but there are two that, depending on age and household, you may not want your young ones to see them. So watch them first to make sure. Hopefully I will have 4 total this year.

Let's all have fun this Halloween season!!!!

Why did the first liquid-fueled rocket look so weird? This is a replica of the first liquid-fueled rocket that Robert Goddard launched in 1926 in Auburn, Massachusetts

The last video you all found out about the flashes of light that astronauts see inside their eyes, which aren't light, but sometimes light made in their eyes. Lot's of questions happened, so this is to explain all those questions.

How do energized particles get into the spaceship? What are energized particles? What are cosmic rays? Is it safe? How does it cause cancer?

I hope this answers everyone's questions; if not, as always, I try to answer
