Capturing my passions through the medium of photography: stunning landscapes, thrilling automotive, fascinating wildlife, and everything in between!

POSTS STORIES REELS

A few of my favorite shots from 2025! It was a fantastic photography year! Was awarded the best cover photo in the nation by the @porscheclubofamerica, returned to the Faroe Islands, and captured incredible automotive events at @luftgekuhlt 11, Summit Point, and Tail of the Dragon.

Have big plans for 2026!

Went back to Babcock State Park in WV to photograph fall leaves. Last time I was 7-10 days too early for peak, this time I was 7-10 days too late! Still managed to capture a few decent shots of the surrounding areas!

Added a few fun “road trip experience” photos at the end. This is how I road trip. I like to link major photography locations with fun roads in between, and random stops along the way for whatever catches my eye!

My favorite time of year is at hand! The best driving, the best photography, and the best adventures.

Have been exceptionally busy lately. Looking forward to slowing down a bit…sort of… by @scott.bowen.photo

Visiting my Mom at her place in Wisconsin. Brought my super telephoto in hopes that I might be able to photograph deer or a few birds. Wasn’t expecting a bobcat!

Stalked it for around 20-30 min to try to get the best shots I could. Hardly National Geographic quality, but not bad for outside my typical subject matter! by @scott.bowen.photo

Icelandic puffins and terns. Tried, unsuccessfully, to photograph the Faroe puffins for a few years now. Weather never cooperated for the ferry ride to Mykines.

Knowing I’d be in #iceland this summer, I made plans to photograph the curious little buggers. Didn’t realize just how accessible they’d be!…or just how challenging the conditions could be.

Driving wind and rain made it a challenge on the first attempt. The second visit provided far better conditions.

These are funny little birds! Wholly indifferent to crowds and almost as ungainly on the ground as they are in the air! Not all fun and games though, managed to capture a pretty intense fight between apparent rivals.

Terns, by contrast, are incredibly difficult to photograph!…especially with an old Nikon D850 DSLR. They’re small, fast, and nimble. Still managed a few decent shots.

Puffins!

Edited photos from this weekend’s @indycar race hosted by the @nationalmallnps at Washington, DC for the @freedom250gp.

Was a challenging shoot! I’m used to open tracks and full media access. Wasn’t able to get media credentials for this event, but tried to be creative within the limitations. If the event is held again, I’ll make sure to get a media pass!

This is making me want to try shooting races more regularly…

Trying my best to capture the #washingtondc @indycar event. Couldn’t get media credentials, so I’ll have to be extra creative in order to get good shots.

Excited to try!

The famous #Skogafoss in #Iceland now has a mystery! I’ve been here probably 10-12 times now between three trips and I’ve never seen this happen before.

There’s normally large boulders on that rightmost edge that let you walk into the mouth of the falls. It’s a popular place to go for selfies and bands making album covers (compare the first and second videos).

Those boulders are GONE! The mouth of the falls is entirely inaccessible now. The first video was 2-3 days before the second video, so they must have been moved in those few days. None of the smaller rocks further down are disturbed, so I have to think they were removed by machine.

Will anyone ever be able to walk back to the mouth of the falls again? Anyone have a more recent update?

Always try to go back to this location when in Iceland. It’s a great hike, and off the beaten path, so you can get some genuine solitude to take in the location.

Arrived in Iceland! by @scott.bowen.photo

Enjoyed an amazing trip to those amazing Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee roads we all love so much! Got to hit my favorites several times, with minimal traffic, no accidents, nor tickets. Couldn’t ask for better!

Great company the entire trip! Thank you @gtsharkrs for the months of planning and coordination! Always pull an amazing event together!

Weather was fantastic, and as always, incredibly photogenic!

First time really getting to break out the new @djiglobal Magic 4 Pro and it’s such a big improvement over my old Air 2S. Major improvements in every category.

Debating @rennsportdragonrally as a fall trip. Thoughts?
