Dear GFAN Members and 2023 TBHLM Advocates,

WE MADE A HISTORY 🥳 AT THE @unitednations . 🇺🇳

Kudos to everyone! 🙏🏻🎉

We have finally reached an agreement on the crucial Political Declaration (PD) concerning the UN-TB-HLM. This document is a significant step, not just for us as individuals, but for the advancement of SDG 3, specifically targeting goals 3.3, 3.8, 3.B

"Developing and high-burden countries such as India🇮🇳, Africa, and others are facing the tuberculosis burden, and this political declaration is crucial not only for the entire country but also for the world. Tuberculosis🦠 kills millions of people throughout the year, burdens our economy, hinders the achievement of SDG 3.

Unfortunately, I was unable to attend the crucial UNHLM, but the action and voice will be heard.

"Collective voice is better than a single voice because it has the power to make an impact, and I believe that those who are seeking impactful changes must have the same harmony."

Warm regards
Saurabh Kumar

DAY 3 | WSDS2023 | Elevator Pitch with Simon Stiel Thematic Speaker Mr. Simon Stiel | @unclimatechange secretariat
Umbrella ☂️ theme : Mainstreaming Sustainable Development and Climate Resilience for Collective Action

@youngo.unfccc is the Children and Youth Constituency of [UNFCCC] and as a Youth Deligate I represent @youngo.unfccc at @teriindia The Energy and Resources Institute, at India Habitat Centre, in New Delhi.

MISSION
YOUNGO focuses on the following
• Awareness, Knowledge and Capacity Building
• Collaboration, Cooperation and Network
• Policy, Lobby and Advocacy
• Youth Action

VISION

We aim and envision
• a climate positive and just society living in harmony with nature and the planet.
• an empowered youth generation, who is driving meaningful, impactful and positive change locally, nationally and internationally.
• a UN where youth is sitting at the decision-making tables and is taken seriously.

With Simon Steil I was putting three questions regarding collaboration with educational bodies and bilaterals with the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change @moefccgoi as Hon'ble Minister of Environment Sh. Bhupendra Yadav was there and under his presence an MoU has been signed between the two TERI and UNFCCC.

As a SDG activist mainly climate activists. During the Advocacy of SDG 3 & SDG 13, we youth and children have faced the problem. For this we need more power and strength for the elegant advocacy for Climate Change. We need a letter of recommendations. Letters signed by stakeholders and officials for authenticity so that they understand the seriousness of climate change and they allow us to work on ACE ( SIX ELEMENTS) freely.

I'm working with YOUNGO WORKING GROUP (YWG)
• ACE (Action for Climate Empowerment) and
• AYF (ACE Youth Forum)
which comes under article 6 of the UNFCCC and article 12 of the Paris Agreement

ARTICLE 6 ( SIX KEY ELEMENTS)
1- CLIMATE EDUCATION
2- TRAINING
3- PUBLIC AWARENESS
4- PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
5- PUBLIC ACCESS TO INFORMATION
6- INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATION

The 11th Raisina Dialogue, held from March 5–7, 2026, focused on India's rising influence in a shifting global order under the theme "Saṁskāra: Assertion, Accommodation, Advancement".

Headline: The Future is India 🇮🇳✨

The 2026 Raisina Dialogue in New Delhi just wrapped up, signaling a massive shift in global power. Here are the top highlights:

Global South Takes the Lead: Chief Guest Alexander Stubb, President of Finland, declared the "era of Western dominance is over" and predicted that the Global South will shape the next world order with India as a major force.

The "New Delhi Moment": President Stubb called for a global summit in India—similar to the 1945 San Francisco Conference—to reform the UN and international rules.

Strategic Civilizational Wisdom: Discussions centered on Saṁskāra, balancing the disciplined defense of national interests (Assertion) with inclusive multilateralism (Accommodation) and technological progress (Advancement).

Science Diplomacy Initiative: A major new launch, the Raisina Science Diplomacy Initiative (SDI), aims to integrate innovation directly into foreign policy.

Six Pillars of Debate: Over 2,700 participants from 110 countries tackled issues ranging from AI governance and semiconductor supply chains to climate action and trade tariffs.

Quote of the Session:

"Europe must move beyond the mindset that Europe's problems are the world's problems, but the world's problems are not Europe's problems." — Finland’s President Stubb, quoting EAM Dr. S. Jaishankar.

#TERI #WSDS2026 #himconnect #sustainability #stall by @sdgactivist

According to the first Global Stocktake, we need a 43% reduction in emissions by 2030 to meet temperature goals, yet current contributions are set to deliver only 2%. With only 13% of SDG targets on track, the gap in implementation and data is undeniable.

This is why the theme of the 25th Silver Jubilee of the World Sustainable Development Summit (WSDS) 2026 was so critical: 25th-27th February, 2026

✨ परिवर्तन | Transformations: Vision, Voices, and Values for Sustainable Development ✨

As a member of TERI - The Energy and Resources Institute, I am incredibly grateful to be part of an organization that doesn’t just discuss these gaps but actively works to bridge them. Transforming our future requires more than just policy; it requires a long-term vision, inclusive voices, and a value-driven approach to climate action.

I want to give a huge round of applause to the entire TERI and WSDS team. The dedication shown by every colleague to ensure this Summit remains a global platform for "Parivartan" is truly commendable.

The road to 2030 is steep, but the collective energy at #WSDS2026 proves that transformation is possible when we align our values with our actions.

Day 3: Resolve, Resurgence, and Results
February 27, 2026

The final day was dedicated to the "Climate Finance Imperative" and solidifying the summit's outputs into actionable manifests.
The Finance Imperative: A major plenary examined the adaptation gap. Experts argued that the Global South should not wait for a perfect global financial architecture but must innovate with public-private instruments to strengthen resilience now.

Clean Energy Acceleration: A session on multi-level governance highlighted that local city governments are the frontline for implementing national clean energy targets.

The Act4Earth Manifesto: The summit concluded with the launch of the Act4Earth Manifesto, a collective commitment document that outlines specific pathways for the "Climate Decade" (2020–2030).

Key Literary Launch: TERI Chairman Nitin Desai formally launched his new book, “The Politics of Sustainable Development,” which analyzes the power dynamics behind global climate negotiations.

Valedictory Message: The closing address emphasized that India achieved its 2030 non-fossil power capacity target (50%) in June 2025, five years ahead of schedule, setting a precedent for "intention over accident."

Core Outcomes of WSDS 2026
Shift in Narrative: Moving from "incremental change" to "Parivartan" (Total Transformation).

Global South Leadership: Reinforcing that the Global South is a provider of solutions, not just a recipient of aid.

HEI Integration: A structured roadmap for making Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) the breeding ground for net-zero leadership.
