sun safe skin within - enhance photoprotection (sun protection) through nutrition

As the field of dietary photoprotection advances, we will continue to notice the ways nutrients support our sun protective routines.

For now, we must remember - topical sunscreens provide considerably more sun protection factor than oral and most oral photoprotection require several weeks to become effective due to the turnover time of skin cells, whereas topical photoprotection is almost instantaneous. We should continue to wear our SPF, seek shade when able, and look for ways we can incorporate sun protective nutrients into our days for when we’re a little late on the reapplication.
