About last night. 🐾
An unforgettable evening in FUR-evermore-land raising critical funds for Seattle’s animals and the people who love them. Thank you to the most amazing community for showing up, bringing all the good energy, continued support, and raising those paddles high! We truly could not do this without you. Thanks to all of our donors, partners, grantees, volunteers, and vendors who made this such a special night. 🐾❤️🐾
This definitely not our last dance! 🕺

🐾 $100,000 in grants. 1,500+ animals reached. One shared mission.

The Seattle Animal Foundation is proud to award $100,000 in grants to five Washington organizations helping animals stay safe, healthy, and out of shelters. Each organization will receive $20,000 to support pets and families with the fewest options.

❤️ Alley Cat Project — Supporting community cats through spay/neuter, medical care, TNR, and foster placement. @alleycatproject

🐶 Forgotten Dogs Rescue — Funding critical medical care for large-breed and medically vulnerable dogs entering foster care. @forgottendogsrescue

🏡 Dog Gone Seattle — Expanding its LEASH Program, providing behavior support, transition housing, foster preparation, and surrender prevention. @doggoneseattle

🐕 Saving Great Animals — Supporting Doug’s Place, a rehabilitation and transition home for dogs who need extra behavioral support before entering foster care. @savinggreatanimals

🩺 Washington Health Outreach — Bringing free veterinary care to unhoused and low-income pet owners through community clinics across King County. @wahealthoutreach

These grants build on our ongoing partnership with the Seattle Animal Shelter, including support for its Behaviorist and Foster Programs. @seattleanimalshelter

Together, these organizations are expected to reach well over 1,500 animals in the year ahead. We’re honored to support their lifesaving work and the families who love their pets.

Together we are stronger. 💙🐾 by @seattleanimalfoundation

Meet October’s SAF Calendar Pups of the Month: Hazel and Ember, beloved fur babies of Meghan Madden and Garret Nell! 🐶🐾 Want to see your pup in the 2027 calendar? Join us at Furevermore next Saturday, 10/10, and bid high for your favorite month! 🎟️Link in bio.

Hazel (2) and Ember (1) are two spirited pups who bring endless joy to their humans. Hazel, a mix of 14 breeds—mostly Chihuahua and Mini Pinscher—was born in an overcrowded situation in California and adopted as a puppy from Dog Gone Seattle. Ember, a 12-breed mix—mostly Shiba Inu and Jindo—was rescued from a dog meat farm in South Korea and recently found her forever home through Dream Tails. Hazel is a fearless, 12-pound squirrel hunter who keeps the yard free of tiny invaders, while Ember is learning the ropes as a committed squirrel-hunting apprentice, following her sister’s lead. Hazel, Ember, and their two rabbit siblings (adopted from SAS) fill the house with nonstop, adorable chaos. They’re always by their humans’ side—whether on a rainy afternoon reading, on a sick day, or a hike exploring every tree. They’ve also taught their family that shoes, socks, books, and even furniture are all fair game when it comes to having fun.
