A 🇨🇦 girl who found her passion in furniture refinishing and upcycling❤️

POSTS STORIES REELS

It only took me about 270 days to finally get some artwork on my bedroom walls since moving back into our home after a tree took out our upper level! I chose Canadian artists to display and have been collecting these and painting some myself to display florals and Georgian Bay shore lines. And the HBC blanket adds to the Canadiana feel, I know this is not your “in vogue” calm serene bedroom in taupes and moody colours, but this is what floats my boat 😊
💚❤️💛💙
Canadian Artists:

@cherylstanleycreates
@crowsnestartstudio

And one unknown!

Anyone else have trouble shutting down your creative side, for some reason bedtime is when my brain just won’t shut down with ideas! My dreams become a kaleidoscope for creativity! I have a fun project coming up soon for another sweet baby, but for now here’s a flash of the few canvases and one piece of furniture I have worked on this year!

I’ve been working on a special little project…the last details are these laser cut embellishments that I had custom made by a wonderful lady at @diysupplies.ca in Hamilton. The best part is she adds a very strong Perlman’s stick adhesive so no mucking around with messy glue!

It was time for a refresh!
I used @dixiebellepaint in the colour
Sand Castle, and a mix of their glazes in
Van Dyke brown and white wash to create this faux
wood grain look. They are perfect to use as a flat surface
on my couch.

With 12 ft ceilings I needed a way to fill the space! I love how my marquee bar sign turned out using the @dixiebellepaint patina line.
I refinished the cabinet last year using @dixiebellepaint for the counter surface and upper cabinet and @fusionmineralpaint for the lower cabinet.

I absolutely cannot take credit for the design of making these @thenavagepatch shared this and I loved the idea, so thought I would give it a go! The only thing that I got wrong is the size of the bowl circumference, but two rows of backer rod and I think it turned out okay!

If only it was as easy as a snap of the fingers!
I hauled this thing in from the garage because I was too impatient to wait for the hubs!
