Your skin doesn’t start a new story at every appointment.

Dermatologist Dr Alice Rudd co-founded Stella to bring more of that story into view, connecting what you notice over time with your routine and everyday life.

Understanding your skin should help you feel more informed and in control.

For us, that means useful insights, honesty about what a scan can tell you, respect for professional care, and a say in how your data is used.

So many times in my daily practice my patients say they ‘can’t see a difference’ in their skin with the introduction of a treatment.

That’s in large part because they are looking at their skin every day, and daily changes may be subtle.

But what if we can get them to see objectively what’s happening over time and show them the evidence that we as clinicians see? That’s why Stella exists.

Hydration.

With the depths of perimenopause, our founder, Dr Alice Rudd’s found her skin feeling a lot drier. And Stella confirmed her hydration scores were plummeting.

That’s when she introduced the @skinbetter TrioLuxe Moisturising Treatment and look and how those scores are stabilising.

Shows how once you have data to confirm exactly the changes you feel, you can implement one change to see a difference.

Keep posted to see if she can get her hydration back up to its peak!

Even guys need skin care 😏

Here our co-founder implemented a Retinoid serum (@biopelleskin by @dermocosmetica.au ) and noticed his texture improve by 5 points!

Not only could he feel the improvement but Stella could see it.

Higher skin phototypes often run into troubles with pigmentation, as opposed to a fairer skin type that may be more troubled with redness.

Tracking how pigmentation fades and increases can be helpful in identifying how good your sunscreen is. And whether you are applying enough!

Tracking the actual changes in your skin can be really informative.

You can start tracking simple things like seasonal variations in pigmentation now @seestella.skin

What is the best moisturiser? Such a common question we get asked.

The best one will have a mix of emollients and humectants to hydrate the skin and prevent water loss.

Not sure if your moisturiser is working? Why not track your skins hydration levels on @seestella.skin and we’ll tell you objectively if it’s working for you.

Seeing the results of skin care takes time.
Many products such as retinoids work at the cellular level so there wouldn’t be a noticeable immediate change liked that you’d see with a moisturisers
I recommend 3 months to see the full effect of a new skincare product.
