the debut mixtape, out now ♡ "text me when u get home" is dedicated first and foremost to the lovers i've lost, who passed before i got the chance to share their songs with them; then it's dedicated to my mom, my inspiration for songwriting and for being a romantic; then to longing; then to the uprising, which gave me a new, furious kind of longing; then to my middle school self who would've loved this genre. all these songs were written in 2020-2021. i originally wanted to release this mixtape as a datpiff exclusive (rip) but here we are. infinite thanks to everyone who touched this music. bandcamp & soundcloud & nina l!nk in b!o, will prolly upload other places soon ♡ by @seinasleep
a year ago we went to a cabin in smithville, tx and let the energy flow; our first track as Members Don't Get Weary is what came out of it. it's an honor to debut on such a crucial compilation by @ptp.vision and activate our art to directly & materially address the crises in G•za and Haiti. "Poetry in its ritual is an act—a very significant act—of self expression. I don't want to exaggerate but it could be as important as the need to eat sometimes." - Refaat Alareer CONTEMPT by Members Don't Get Weary raps by: @seinasleep x @rgb.rgb.rgb.rgb x @chucky.blk beat by: @locuust.yt mixed by: @seinasleep sonically optimized by: @genggrizzly about the comp, via @ptp.vision: "this compilation exists as a collaborative declaration against gen•cide and global occupation, a gesture towards resistance a concerted action in support of the people who are moving on a path to their own collective liberations in the face of the western imperialist project. this is not about charity. the intention and hope is that this compilation inspires while also providing another space for us - poets of word and sound - to actively make pace against those who perpetuate death, as the artist’s role is that of a truth teller. 100% of the sales will go towards our people in P•lestine and in Haiti (50/50) via: Urgent Support for Medical Professionals in G•za https://gofund.me/dd34d6dc Cultural Capital Haiti https://www.culturalcapitalhaiti.org/ " RESIST COLONIAL POWER BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY compilation out now on bandcamp by @seinasleep

alternate flyer by me lol! im really excited for this show! itll be the first time im on stage in any form in 7 months and first drive safe show in over a year. the other night i was thinking about how 2021 was relentlessly traumatic for me and how its amazing that i wrote most of this project in probably the hardest year of my life, when so many attempts to extend myself for others resulted in pain. honestly im really proud to have this documentation that despite everything, i stayed soft. it helps to remember that when i doubt my spirit. my gentle self is even more relentless. im also excited to have this show in the Fannie Mae Conservatory community garden in my old neighborhood, Blackland. it's literally a block away from where my mom and sibs and i were first introduced to the eastside in our lil house by the park. even though i was displaced out of that house by the time i started writing this album, it feels like full circle to present it now on that block, in the community garden that fed me when i didnt have much else. and with such good friends!~ drive safe @_textmewhenugethome ukeme @jas.ikp e. artifact @earfact_ sir kat @sirkatx carter landon @amen.wav 🩷 details: 9/15/2024 6-10pm at the Fannie Mae Stewart Community Conservatory 1900 E. 22nd St Austin, TX 78722 $5-10 donation to cover space fee (NOTAFLOF) all ages outdoor show, seating available accessible indoor restrooms presented by @cimarron.atx by @seinasleep
