Join us for Authentically Ours – a group exhibition highlighting art that centers the experiences of BIPOC & Queer artists.

This public exhibition is an opportunity to engage with powerful works exploring identity, culture, and personal storytelling. Connect with the artists, learn about their creative process, and dive deeper into the themes behind their work. Light snacks & drinks provided!

✨ Featuring work by amazing artists, including Delanyo Mensah – a multidisciplinary artist, curator, and advocate whose work bridges art, justice, and community. As a queer, first-generation Ghanaian-American, Mensah draws from her rich heritage and lived experiences, centering Black women and queer people of color in her work. Through photography, poetry, and mixed media, she boldly challenges conventions and invites viewers on a journey of self-discovery and connection. Her art weaves together the past and present, incorporating cultural elements like adinkra symbols to offer new meanings that reflect her intersectional identity.

🎤 Join Delanyo for their artist talk on March 26 at 7:00 PM to hear more about their creative practice and the themes behind their work!

Hosted at the KC Potter Center, this exhibition aligns with Vanderbilt University’s commitment to inclusivity, equity, and belonging.

sometimes i take life too seriously. im scared of failure, embarrassment, and i care what people think way too much for my own good sometimes. i made this instagram to be a safe space to put aside my ego and just share my art and creativity but somewhere along the way i lost sight of that. so today i am reclaiming it. here are some things ive created lately ✨
