You are inherently worthy, my friend ❣ In this busy capitalist world it's so easy to forget that we are more than what we do or what we accomplish. You are a living being whose existence is inherently valuable. You are enough. Try setting an intention every morning when you wake up. How do you want to show up in your life today? Though daily to-do lists can be helpful, they can also get overwhelming. I'm not saying "get rid of your to-do lists entirely." But to-do lists place a lot of emphasis on productivity and while that can help you make progress in your goals, remember that YOU ARE HUMAN and you are valuable beyond the work that you do or accomplish ❣ That's why I prefer setting daily morning intentions, or a “to-be” list: "Today I will be kind to myself, presence, gentle, patient, etc." When you set your intention(s), remind yourself of it throughout the day. Also, this practice helps with being more mindful with your to-do lists! Sending you love, my friend 💗 👉🏻Follow @selfcarewithchar for more on healing and self care! 💖 Video by Teona Swift from Pexels . #selflovejourney #wellbeing #mentalhealth #mentalhealthmatters #mentalhealthawareness #inspiration #healing #wellness #selfcare #selflove #selfhelp #selfgrowth #selfgrowthjourney #personaldevelopment #healing #innerhealing #healingjourney #intentionalliving #intentions #mindfulness by @selfcarewithchar
I'm proud of you, my friend ❣ I may not know what struggles or accomplishments you have experienced, but I know that being human is challenging. And I know that sometimes we forget to be proud of ourselves for how far we've come in our journeys. So let this be a reminder that • you are not alone • I'm rooting for you • and take some time to celebrate yourself 💫 Share this to someone who needs to hear this 👉🏻 Follow @selfcarewithchar for more on healing and self care! 💖 Video by Ruslan Khmelevsky from Pexels . #selflovejourney #wellbeing #mentalhealth #mentalhealthmatters #mentalhealthawareness #inspiration #healing #wellness #selfcare #selflove #selfhelp #selfgrowth #selfgrowthjourney #personaldevelopment #healing #innerhealing #healingjourney by @selfcarewithchar
Practicing gratitude helps me switch my focus onto things that ADD VALUE to my life 💫 This is especially helpful when I’m going through tough times, when my mind focuses on the struggles, and when it’s hard to see the good things Recognizing what I’m grateful for trains my mind to look for things that are going RIGHT in my life It’s EMPOWERING to notice and acknowledge the little things, big things, in-between things that show you that life can be magical and inspiring Some things I'm grateful for are flowers, a home to live in, food to nourish me, and sunsets that calm me 🌄 Practicing gratitude and noticing what’s already in my life makes me feel more hopeful and inspired, and it can be like that for YOU too! 💓 💬 Comment below what you're grateful for! 👉🏻 Follow @selfcarewithchar for more on healing and self care! 💖 Video by Trippy Clicker . #selflovejourney #wellbeing #mentalhealth #mentalhealthmatters #mentalhealthawareness #inspiration #healing #wellness #selfcare #selflove #selfhelp #selfgrowth #selfgrowthjourney #personaldevelopment #healing #innerhealing #healingjourney #gratitude by @selfcarewithchar
Life can get hard sometimes, take it easy. As the song says, "know that you are loved" Honestly things have been challenging for me recently, so I thought it would be nice to share this with you all as a reminder to be gentle with yourself ❣ Follow @selfcarewithchar for more on healing and self care 💖 Video by Mikhail Nilov from Pexels . #selflovejourney #wellbeing #mentalhealth #mentalhealthmatters #mentalhealthawareness #inspiration #healing #wellness #selfcare #selflove #selfhelp #selfgrowth #selfgrowthjourney #personaldevelopment #healing #innerhealing #healingjourney by @selfcarewithchar
Self care practices to do every day: 1. Practice gratitude! 💌 List some things, people, places, etc (I like to list at least 3) that you are grateful for. You can even say "thank you" for the day, for yourself, for breathing, for your ability to feel emotions, for your healing journey, anything!! 2. Daily journaling, ideally when you wake up and before you sleep 📘 Release any thoughts you have, reflect on any feelings, journal about your dreams or about your day! 3. Set intentions for the day ⭐ When you wake up in the morning, say, “thank you for [thing you're grateful for]” (practice gratitude!) + set intention This can sound like: "My intention is to present today, mindful today" 💬 Comment below which one you like! I’d love to hear more about what you think of these! 👉🏻 Follow @selfcarewithchar for more on healing and self care! 💖 Video by Feel of the Nature from Pexels . #selflovejourney #wellbeing #mentalhealth #mentalhealthmatters #mentalhealthawareness #inspiration #healing #wellness #selfcare #selflove #selfhelp #selfgrowth #selfgrowthjourney #personaldevelopment #healing #innerhealing #healingjourney #gratitude #intentionalliving #journaling by @selfcarewithchar
Self care practices include being aware of your digital habits, which are so ingrained in our daily lives ⭐ This is why you should incorporate these 3 things into your self care practice: 1. Setting daily limits/ timers on social media can help reduce mindless scrolling I find that it helps to first find out the daily average of on each app and set a limit that's about 15 minutes or so less than that average. In that way, the change won't feel too big or disruptive 2. Having 1 hour of intentional no-screen-time (whether it’s daily or weekly or whatever works with your schedule) allows you to do other screen-free activities instead 3. Track your screen time (on your phone or specific apps) and digital habits. This can be seen in your device settings When you see HOW your time is spent on screens you can ask yourself what works for you and what doesn’t 🧐 You can reflect on: - what supports my wellbeing? - what takes away from it? - how do I feel about this? - what do I want to change? 💬 Comment below which one stood out to you! You are WORTHY of rest, healing, recovery, breaks, and pauses. Rest is essential to your wellbeing!! Reframe your priorities to see yourself as DESERVING of rest 💟 Personally, for a long time it had been challenging for me to take breaks often. But then I remembered that I’m only human. Being human means being part of nature. Nature has moments or seasons of rest and breaks and taking it slow. Nature has seasons and you do too! Listen to your inner needs 💬 What are you feeling the need for in this season of your life? A huge part of my healing journey was recognizing my WHOLENESS. 🌸 the mind and body are interconnected, they cannot be separated, therefore healing must happen from an approach of recognizing your wholeness as a human being with a body, emotions, and thoughts what goes on within you (thoughts and emotions) can physical manifestations in your body, whether it's pains, discomfort, sickness, etc. Learning the connectedness of body, mind (and heart) has encouraged me to live a more mindful life (disclaimer: this is from my personal experience) 👉🏻Follow @selfcarewithchar for more on healing and self care! 💖 Video by Maksim Goncharenok from Pexels . #selflovejourney #wellbeing #mentalhealth #mentalhealthmatters #mentalhealthawareness #inspiration #healing #wellness #selfcare #selflove #selfhelp #selfgrowth #selfgrowthjourney #personaldevelopment #healing #innerhealing #healingjourney by @selfcarewithchar
Tapping into your creativity energy can be healing because... Creating is expressing. Expressing is releasing. It is healing to release energy and let it flow. It's healing to channel our energy through creativity and share what is within us ⭐ ❗❕Being creative doesn’t mean you have to be a professional, it just means making something out of your imagination.❗❕ Personally, I enjoy playing with music, whether it’s humming a little tune or playing on musical instruments. I also enjoy creating my favourite dishes, drawing, scrapbooking, and more. Again, being creative doesn’t mean you have to be a professional, it just means making/expressing/channeling/CREATING something out of your imagination. 💬 Comment below one way you like to express your creativity! 👉🏻 Follow @selfcarewithchar for more on healing and self care! 💖 Video by Anoop VS from Pexels . #create #creativity #selflovejourney #wellbeing #mentalhealth #mentalhealthmatters #mentalhealthawareness #inspiration #healing #wellness #selfcare #selflove #selfhelp #selfgrowth #selfgrowthjourney #personaldevelopment #healing #innerhealing #healingjourney by @selfcarewithchar
