Most social media is built around the self.

Selfyless is built around perspective.

We’re interested in what you notice.

No selfies.
No public metrics.
No algorithm.

Just perspective.
A place to notice more.
Share differently.
Connect deeper.

A selfless way to share the world.

Ever open your feed to see what your friends are up to… and find everything but your friends?

Another ad. Another recommendation. Another thing you didn’t ask to see.

We’ve built Selfyless so you can choose what fills your feed, and find the people and moments you came for.

What a beautiful, inspiring evening.

Thank you, @wearemama, for bringing together such an extraordinary community and for the work you do to protect and fight for a healthier path ahead.

It was a privilege to be surrounded by so many thoughtful, passionate people- each contributing in their own way to a better world for our children and for one another.

The warmth, the conversations, and the sense of purpose in that room will stay with me.

So grateful to have been part of it, thank you 🙏

A red-eye, very little sleep, and this beautiful sky welcoming me to New York.
Here for tonight’s MAMA event, a little tired but very excited!

Becoming a mother changed how I think about so many things—including the technology we bring into our lives and the world our children will grow up in.

Through Selfyless, we hope to encourage people to look outward more and discover the beauty of life beyond the screen.

This morning, that looked like watching the sun rise from a plane window.

Looking forward to the people and conversations tonight.

Tomorrow, I’ll be in New York for the Mothers Against Media Addiction annual benefit, joining others who care about protecting childhood and creating a healthier relationship with technology.

I’m going as a mother, as the founder of Selfyless, and as someone who believes we have a responsibility to build thoughtfully.

Our children deserve our attention and the freedom to give theirs to the world beyond a screen. They deserve a future where technology leaves room for wonder.

Some things are worth getting right.

We had hoped to welcome you to Selfyless in September, and while we’re a little later than we originally planned, we wanted to share why.

Building something different means being thoughtful about every detail. Not just how it looks or what it does, but how it feels, how it protects the people who use it, and whether it truly reflects the values that inspired it.

Over these past weeks, we’ve continued refining, testing, and strengthening Selfyless. We’ve also been working through Apple’s App Store review process, making sure the experience is ready for the people who will call this little corner of the internet their own.

We’re happy to share that our newest build has been submitted to Apple for one final review.

We don’t have an official launch date to announce just yet, but we’re closer than ever.

To our Founding 100, our beta testers, and everyone who has followed along, encouraged us, and believed in this idea: thank you.

We believe technology should inspire us to look up, experience the world, and connect more meaningfully with one another, and that belief is worth taking the time to get right.

A quieter way to share and remember.

With gratitude,
The Selfyless Team

The timing of this film feels deeply meaningful.

The Social Reckoning @thesocialreckoning is bringing urgent questions about social media into the conversation—the same questions that led us to build Selfyless.

What if sharing didn’t come with public likes or follower counts? What if your feed followed the people you chose, in the order they shared?

What if we made more room for everyday life and encouraged you to look beyond the screen instead of stay engaged within it.

Those questions became design decisions. And those decisions became Selfyless.

We have built a social experience we want to see in the world—and feel proud to pass on to our children.

Go see The Social Reckoning. Keep the conversation going.

There is a different way forward, and we’ve built it.
