A modern Campervan control system for a modern world.
POSTS STORIES REELS
Our BlackPaw Nomad control system launches this Summer 2026. It is a system built on open hardware, no vendor lock-in from us and will be available at a fair price. The system is powered by Home Assistant, an open source product. We believe this new modern day approach based on open hardware will revolutionise control systems in RV's, Campervans and Motorhomes. There are literally tens of thousand of devices and sensors for industry and home, there really is no need to build a specialist hardware product currently. This is why we have been building out our Rated Devices to use in this system. We still have a lot of information to add and we are currently building out our online shop to offer many of our Rated Devices for sale. We use open hardware, but we want to offer a lot of the devices so that you can order them all in one place. Please get in touch if you have any questions about Nomad. If you are a Conversion company and want to find out more about installing our system then please also get in touch. #blackpaw #controlsystems #vanautomation #controlpanel #homeassistant #vantech #homeautomation #vanlifeuk #vanbuild #blackpawnomad #vanconversion #vanbuilders by @sensa.systems
We have added Adventure Van Life - HQ South and Autoterm UK to Radar, so it is there for everyone to find. It is under a new category in Essentials called Motorhome Supplies along with other places to buy those goodies for your campervan/motorhome. The showroom includes a full working Sensa Nomad system so you can control all those different Autoterm heaters, Victron and other devices from the Sensa Control Panel. Showroom opens 14th November 2026 @ 10am. https://radar.sensa.systems/?lat=51.05747&lon=-1.30170&r=5000&q=Map+area&cat=motorhome_supplies #autotermuk #adventurevanlife #sensasystems #motorhomesupplies by @sensa.systems
Foxygen batteries are now supported in Sensa Nomad 1.9 🔋 All four models work: the 105Ah, 230Ah, 300Ah and 460Ah LiFePO4 leisure batteries with Bluetooth and heating. Sensa finds your Foxygen over Bluetooth and works out which model it is. Then it's all on your dashboard: state of charge, voltage, current and power, every cell's voltage, the pack temperatures, balancing and charge cycles. There's nothing extra to fit. It reads through the Sensa Bluetooth sensor you already have.. @adventurevanlifeuk @batteriesandsolar #vanlife #campervan #motorhome #vanconversion #lifepo4 #leisurebattery #foxygen #offgrid #smartvan #sensanomad by @sensa.systems
Meet the Sensa Dial, new in Nomad 1.9. 🔘 A round touch screen in a rotary knob. Turn it to set the heating, dim the lights, check your tanks or see what the battery is doing. At night it’s a bedside clock with an alarm. Put it by the door, at the bed or in the cab. It runs on Wi-Fi with USB-C power, and Sensa finds it on its own. Built on the M5Stack Dial, running Sensa’s own firmware. sensa.systems #vanlife #campervan #motorhome #vanconversion #smartvan #rvlife #offgrid #vanbuild by @sensa.systems
Planning a smart van but not sure what kit you need? 🚐 Our new kit builder asks about the gear you already have (batteries, Victron, heating, aircon, sensors, relays) and tells you which Sensa Core fits your build. You also get every add-on we supply, priced, and a list of the things you source yourself. It takes about two minutes. Share the plan, or buy it in one tap. 👉 sensa.systems/plan #campervan #vanlife #motorhome #vanconversion #selfbuild #campervanconversion #smartvan #victron #sensanomad by @sensa.systems
Jacket potato in the air fryer tonight? 🥔 Hard to say yes when you don’t know how much sun tomorrow will bring. Coming in Nomad 1.9: solar forecasts. Sensa works out how much charge your panels should make today and tomorrow, for where your van is, so you know whether you can spare the power. Europe only. #Sensa #SensaNomad #VanLife #CamperVan #VanBuild #SmartVan #OffGrid #Solar #SolarPower #Campervanconversion by @sensa.systems
Starter battery flat? 🔋 Coming in Nomad 1.9: Orion flat battery start. One tap in Sensa and your Victron Orion XS charges your starter battery from the leisure battery. It charges for 15 minutes, then pauses for 5 so you can start the engine. Needs Orion XS firmware 1.15 or later. #Sensa #SensaNomad #VanLife #CamperVan #VanBuild #SmartVan #Campervanconversion #OffGrid #Victron #VictronEnergy #OrionXS by @sensa.systems
Rain now, rain later, snow on the way. 🌧️❄️ Sensa Radar’s new Rain & snow layer puts the live weather radar right on your map, then lets you scrub or play the forecast hour by hour for the next 24 hours. Snow shows in its own colours, so you can see which pass will be white before you drive it. Plan the route, pick the pitch, and stay one step ahead of the weather. This is live now for everyone free at https://radar.sensa.systems or Nomad users can just access it straight from Cab>Navigation. #SensaRadar #VanLife #Motorhome #CampervanLife #RoadTrip #WeatherRadar #SnowForecast #Overlanding by @sensa.systems

The Sensa Nomad system is the ultimate control system for your campervan. 🚐⚡ A big thanks to @noggin.the.mog and @autotermuk for being part of an amazing test project and helping us get those Autoterm heater controls really dialled in ready for their Arctic trip! 🔥 Nomad can already do just about everything you'd want from a campervan control system... But after watching Elon Musk unveil the new Tesla Roadster and its cold-gas thrusters, I couldn't help thinking... What if we added thruster controls to Sensa Nomad? 🚀😂 Well, I couldn't resist seeing what the dashboard might look like! Sensa Nomad — now we're really pushing the boundaries of campervan control! 😎 Disclaimer: No campervans were launched into orbit during the making of this dashboard. #SensaNomad #CampervanTech #Vanlife #TeslaRoadster #ElonMusk #RocketCampervan by @sensa.systems
Imagine having one intelligent system controlling almost everything on your motorhome, campervan or boat. Air-conditioning. Your Autoterm engine pre-heater. Your Autoterm air heater for the living area. Underfloor heating. Interior and exterior lighting. Music. Navigation. Battery systems. Cameras. Sensors. All brought together through one smart interface, using real-time data from your vehicle and its surroundings. Monitor temperatures inside and out, check battery BMS readings, see what your sensors are measuring and control key systems from one place. And it goes further: by using local fuel-price data alongside heater run-time information, the system can estimate what it’s costing to keep you warm. This is connected vehicle control: live monitoring, intelligent automation and the information you need to make better decisions, wherever the road—or water—takes you. The future of life on the move is looking seriously smart. 🚐🛥️⚡ #SmartMotorhome #CampervanTech #BoatLife #Autoterm #VehicleControl SmartSystems VanLife Overlanding MarineTechnology LiveData BatteryMonitoring DieselHeater AdventureVanLife NogginTheMog by @sensa.systems
