@SEQCleanup teamed up with @Paccorkids Preschool & @Partnershipsforparks to do a 2-part Beautification Project at 157th Street Playground (Baisley Pond Park) today.

Here's a recap of the 2nd part of the project, which included the students planting daffodil bulbs donated from @ny4p around the tree beds. The kids really had a great time and look forward to seeing the daffodils bloom in the Spring. 💐 by @seqcleanup

3 DJs, 1 Mission, and a WHOLE LOT OF LOVE! 🎀💗

What an AMAZING morning at the @makingstridesqueensny Breast Cancer Walk at Flushing Meadows Corona Park! 💕🙌🏽

For the 3rd year in a row, @Nettworkinc has been blessed with the opportunity to provide music and entertainment for such a powerful cause. This year, CEO/ Founder @DJNett, had our DJ fam @houseman_entertainment & @bigbdaceo rocking alongside her, bringing the music, energy, and GOOD VIBES to thousands of walkers! 🎧🔥💪🏽

But today was about so much more than music. It was about celebrating the SURVIVORS, honoring the WARRIORS, remembering the loved ones we've lost, and standing together in the fight against breast cancer. 🎀💗

Standing on that stage, looking out at a SEA OF PINK, was truly humbling. Moments like these remind me why I love what I do. God continues to put me in spaces where my passion for music can serve a greater PURPOSE! 🙏🏽❤️

Special thanks to @makingstridesqueensny for continuing to trust me and @nettworkinc with this incredible opportunity. Shoutout to everyone who hit the stage for phenomenal performances

Look Momma, I’m on TV!!!! 🥰📺😂 Here’s my lil’ 15 seconds of fame on @GoodMorningAmerica!

But what really made my heart full today happened OFF camera. ❤️

A gentleman noticed my “DJ Nett” shirt and came over saying, “My name is Nett too… Bennett!” 😂 That simple introduction turned into a conversation about @NettworkInc, our youth programs, and me DJing the Breast Cancer Walk on October 18th at #FlushingMeadowsPark.

Come to find out, Mr. Bennett works for Elmhurst Hospital and introduced me to their CEO and Director of Marketing. As I’m explaining what we do, one of them stops me and says, “Wait… do you run a DJ program?” 😳

SMALL WORLD..... her son is the Audio Producer @newkid_jtom that instructs our Teen Recording & Audio Production Workshops! She already knew about our work and even remembered me from an award I received from @drichardsqueens during Women's History Month . 🙏🏾

That conversation quickly grew into something bigger as we discussed our Music Wellness Programming and potential opportunities to partner with the hospital. Let’s just say… A closed mouth don't get fed. 👀🎶❤️

Before we parted, Mr. Bennett said something that stuck with me:

“You see the power of meeting people in person.”

WHEW. 💯

We get so caught up in social media ... posting, tagging, liking and keeping it moving, that sometimes we forget the POWER of a real conversation, a handshake, introducing yourself and simply connecting with another human being.

Today was a reminder that sometimes your next opportunity isn’t sitting in your inbox or your DMs… it might be standing right next to you. 🙏🏾

Keep showing up. Keep talking. Keep connecting. You never know where one conversation may lead.

🎀 Day 1 of #BreastCancerAwarenessMonth 🎀

This morning, I had the honor of participating in a live taping of @GoodMorningAmerica at #FlushingMeadowsCoronaPark to help promote the upcoming #BreastCancerWalk 💕🎥

📍 @flushingmeadowscoronapark
📅 Sunday, October 18
⏰ 8 AM

I stood alongside incredible healthcare workers, survivors and thrivers who shared their journeys, as well as families honoring loved ones they’ve lost. As the morning went on, I began reaching out to family and friends asking for names of people in their lives impacted by breast cancer. My board kept filling up… name after name, story after story. 🎀🙏🏽

Every name represents a fighter, survivor, thriver, supporter or someone whose memory continues to live on. 💗

For the 3rd year in a row @Nettworkinc is honored to be providing the music and entertainment for @makingstridesqueensny alongside @davidsincereaiken and special guests @bigbdaceo 🎧🎛💃🏽🧘🏽‍♀️

I WALK for ALL of them. 🎀 Who do YOU walk for? 💕 Drop their name below and let’s honor them together.

Yesterday I gave myself permission to return to ME ❤️✨

The Sister Circle at the @Journalgym_ Experience hosted by @timelessclassic was more than an event, it was a beautiful reminder of how important it is to slow down, be still, reflect, release, breathe, and reconnect with the woman underneath all the titles and responsibilities.

So much of my life is spent pouring into my daughters, my family, my community, my work, and everyone connected to me. Somewhere in all that pouring, it’s easy to forget that I deserve to be poured into too.

Through movement, journaling, sisterhood, reflection, and some very real moments with myself, I felt pieces of me reconnecting again. Not the mom. Not the leader. Not the DJ. Not the person everybody calls when something needs to get done. Just ME. 🤎

I left lighter. I left thinking. I left healing. Most importantly, I left reminded that choosing myself sometimes isn’t selfish,it’s necessary.

This season, I’m learning to give myself the same love, grace, patience, and energy that I so freely give everyone else. 🌿✨

Reconnecting. Releasing. Returning to me. 🤍

And I’m grateful for the journey.

Shoutout to @iamyogistudios & @timelessclassic for events like this right in the South East Queens community.
