I was extremely nervous to paint this Caracol waterfall of South America. For one, I had never painted a waterfall before. And secondly, I suck at painting rocky textures on the mountains. But I went for it! It might not be the most perfect painting, but I learned something and I grew. And that is what counts. Do you feel nervous when you try new things? What is your strategy? Btw, the reference picture for this composition was sourced from Unsplash (clicked by @jonathansborba ) #challenge #newchallenge #paintyourstyle2023 #waterfallpainting #caracol #caracolwaterfall #serendipreeti #originalpainting #justdoit #doing by @serendi.preeti
Yay, i was able to paint another of the Paint Your Style Challenge #paintyourstyle2023 . I find these challenges really helpful for two main reasons. Firstly, you get to see what other artists are creating and get inspired. And secondly, I get to paint an amazing reference picture (something that i did not have to look out for #iykyk ;) ). You see, lack of inspiration and time can definitely bog this toddler mom down sometimes, from creating art. I am always on the lookout for these challenges. Do you do the same? If you have any recommendations, please drop it down below in comments. I would really love to know. As always, thanks to the wonderful hosts for sharing this picture (sourced from Jon, Unspash). A very important reminder that I believe is very relevant for most of us if not all of us. Social media can be overwhelming sometimes and it is very crucial to be mindful of the fact that our social media presence is for ourselves. It is a channel that helps us to express ourselves and share our dreams and it should be treated that way. Mel just nailed it with her words. A lil about this painting, I painted this today for my Day 4 of the daily Painting Challenge. A beautiful capture of a person embracing the world as wind blows through her hair and sunlight illuminates her body. #selfcare #selflove #serednipreetiart #serendipreeti #artistsofinstagram #sunsets #watercolor #dailypaintingchallenge #bluepineartsdpc #bluepineartsdpcdayfour #silhouette by @serendi.preeti

This one is extra special 🤍 I welcomed my rainbow little one just last week, and honestly thought I wouldn’t be able to paint this month. But then I remembered—after my first daughter, it was during this very postpartum phase that I realized I wasn’t doing anything for ‘ME’. That’s when I picked up painting after decades, just for myself. So how could I skip it now? Here I am with my submission. It may be a little rushed, but I’m proud of myself for showing up and doing it ✨ ✨️Portrait Group 1 Theme & 9 Artists ✨️ At the suggestion of @headofabear.art, we have dedicated this month to the theme of „Christmas Cheer“.
