“She could wander through antique bookshops for hours, never noticing that He had long been watching her - observing the way her slender fingers brushed over the spines of old volumes, as if she chose books not by title but by resonance with her soul.”

I’m introducing my first Bride of Dracula - Aurelia Howell. Turned in Prague, 1977. As I promised, each bride has her own story - you can read it on my Patreon (link in bio). I’d be deeply grateful for your support 🤗❤️

The second bride is almost finished - coming soon.

“You did not let me keep my name, so I will strip you of yours. In this world you are what I say you are, and I say you are a ghost, a long night’s fever dream that I have finally woken up from. I say you are the smoke-wisp memory of a flame, thawing ice suffering under an early spring sun, a chalk ledger of depts being wiped clean. I say you do not have a name.”
S.T. Gibson, A Dowry of Blood @stgibsonauthor

Artwork inspired by this book. So poetic, so heartfelt, so gothic. Pure pleasure to read 🩸
In the novel Constanta has dark eyes, but for my reference I used a photo of young Nicole Kidman with her fiery hair - and decided to keep those icy blue eyes. Forgive me this little liberty.

“Sunlight, falling through stained glass, fell across her hair and turned it into a golden halo, giving her the countenance of a holy maiden. That light was meant to shine, not be buried in the dust of confessionals. Her posture and the way she carried herself were made not for bowing, but for greatness. A saint he longed to defile - yet even more desperately, one he longed to save.”

I’m introducing my second Bride of Dracula - Maddalena Moretti, Verona, 1884.

As I promised, each bride has her own story - the story about the second bride will come later - I got carried away with historical moments... But you can read about the first one on my Patreon (link in bio). I’d be deeply grateful for your support 🤗❤️

Traditional end of the month - bye bye, October! You were amazing! 😻 🎃💃🏻🔥

An unexpected and incredible reunion with my bestie, getting my energy back after a long illness, a wonderful birthday and parties with friends.

I missed active Nata so much, and I’m so happy she’s finally back! Thank you, October 😘

I need to post more watercolor
I need to do more watercolor 😭

I didnt finish last one and already started a new watercolor. I have an insane number of watercolor ideas in my head right now, but unfortunately my job doesn’t leave me enough time to bring all of them to life 😫😫😫

I bought my favorite pencil leads in red and now I’m curious to see how they behave with watercolor, especially on faces. Maybe it’ll look better without those visible graphite lines from a regular pencil 🫣

My traditional monthly post - bye-bye, September! ☺️✨

You were amazing. Creative, full of art, inspiration, and peace. After such a difficult, sick summer, you were my little art therapy 🖤

Thank you to everyone whose art made this month feel so rich and inspiring!

My traditional goodbye post to the month - just for myself 😋

So, Bye-bye, August 🤗 You taught me something important - how to allow myself to be weak. I finally admitted that I’m sick, and that it’s okay. I let myself stop working 24/7, stop counting calories and steps, stop panicking about budgets and bills… I slept as much as I wanted. I worked as much as I could. I ate sweets, a lot 😝 and sometimes I didn’t leave the house for few days. I played Diablo and Sims without setting an alarm so I could rush back to work. I bought myself things simply because I wanted them.

And probably for the first time in my life, I didn’t feel guilty about any of all this 🥲

Sometimes the simplest things are the hardest ones to learn 🥲 So thank you August 🙏🏻

This is where my traditional Bye-Bye July post is supposed to go. I make these every month for myself, not for you, ahaha 😅 They give me a chance to look back at the month one more time and realize how many good moments and memories it gave me.

As for this July… honestly, thanks for letting me survive it. It was an exhausting month full of sickness, weakness, and barely any energy. I don’t like this version of Nata at all 😫

I really hope August will be more active, productive, and full of energy 🖤🖤🖤 by @serpent_artium
