Looking back on Galungan, a special time in the Balinese calendar when good triumphs over evil and ancestral spirits are welcomed back to the family home.

Across Bali, families come together to prepare offerings and create penjors, the beautiful bamboo poles decorated with coconut leaves and offerings that line the streets outside homes and temples.

Here at Seseh Beach Villas, our team came together to make our own penjor, sharing in a tradition that has been part of Balinese life for generations.

There’s something truly special about being in Bali during Galungan. The streets of Seseh village lined with penjors, children performing the traditional Barong dance, and local women preparing their beautiful offerings.

Planning your Bali escape? Book your stay for Galungan 2027 and experience this special time in the village for yourself.

Joy, written from the sky 🚁⠀

A Fiji family brought their sunshine to Bali. Laughter on the shore, breeze in the air, each soul a spark—one celebration under the open sky.⠀

At the heart of the estate, a natural spring, home to our resident fish and one of the most special features of Seseh Beach Villas.

A quiet corner to enjoy your morning coffee, take a moment between swims or create a beautiful setting for a special ceremony.
