Patter Now by Patter is out today!
Took us a couple years to figure it out but we got there, and had a lot of fun along the way. Playing music and being friends with Wilson and Joe is one of the best things that’s ever happened to me and I love our band.
We are playing TWO release shows:
10/02 (tonight) in Grand Rapids, MI @ buddytape studio (hmu for address) w/ Will Wisniewski (Floatie) and Magical Powers
10/04 (Sunday) in Chicago @ Schubas w/ Krill and Butthole

We also have CASSETTES by @callbackprojects and today we are psyched to announce pre-orders for VINYL by local heroes @stormchasersltd
We will have TEN test pressed with artwork for sale at these shows!!

Ok thanks, enjoy the album, and Fins Up! by @sethengel.musicguy

Maxed Out by Options is 10 years old today. Wrote an essay which I’ve put on my website, via the link in my bio.

Thank you to all who’ve listened and especially to those who’ve stuck with me all these years. It means more than I can say. More on the way, as always.

With gratitude,
Seth

We’re really excited to share that we have a new album coming out on November 13th. It’s called “Secret Language,” and you can preorder LPs from @explodinginsound.

Today we’re also sharing ‘Dominate’ with a video by @heavenlyy.tedious 👀 It’s a song about growing up in the 90s and 00s in the heart of empire, the violence of wanting to win, how we teach our children to want to dominate others, a US TV culture of watching gladiator-like scenes of rule by power. It’s about war, it’s about basketball, it’s about childhood.

Our first album since 2020, recorded at Ohmstead with @sethengel.musicguy earlier this year. We also somehow convinced the virtuosos @maciestewart , @ragtimewilly , and @fran_online__ to contribute violin, sax, and vox to it. We’re proud of this one and we hope you like it too. If you don’t, we’re sorry but there are no refunds.

Recorded at Ohmstead
Produced & mixed by Seth Engel
Mastered by @ummm_r at Macro Sound
Performed by Krill, with contributions from Macie Stewart, Will Greene, and Maria Jacobson

We also have some fun shows coming up in the fall:
10/4 at Schubas in Chicago w/ @patterband (their album release!) and @buttholeband
11/21 SOME Fest in Kittery, Maine

& then a tiny NE run in the new year with @clifford_the_band :
2.3 - PhilaMOCA in Philly
2.5 - TV Eye in BK

We’ll be announcing more shows in the coming months. Thanks for supporting us all these years & hope to see ya at a show. WOO HOO by @sethengel.musicguy
