@cbenfey keeps coming back to our @dji Transmission for moving car shots.
When the car is a kilometers away, having a video feed you can trust makes all the difference. It’s one less thing to worry about, letting the crew stay focused on getting the shot. 🚗🎬

Shot through a keyhole… literally 🔑🎥
For this commercial at Hard Rock Hotel, @wearelittlebigbrother used a Spinhawk rig to rotate the camera through a keyhole shot and connect scenes in one fluid movement. Technical, challenging, and honestly one of the coolest shots of the day.

Rent the Spinhawk for your next shoot at setready.com

The film world seems to have a language of its own…and today I put it to the test! I called a bunch of friends and put them on the spot, they had 5 minutes to give me the definition to as many film terms as they could. If you’re curious to see the YouTube video I made with OVER 80 film terms, go check out the full version on my channel (link in bio).

We used a probe lens for this shot, pushing in to a close-up of an eye for a commercial @wearelittlebigbrother shot for Hard Rock Hotel 🎸
It’s a good reminder that this type of lens isn’t only for traditional macro work—it can also be used more creatively to shape movement, perspective, and how a moment is revealed on screen

We rigged a camera to @nikpilecki arm for this commercial. Not to mention I went out on a canoe with junior paddlers, for a 4s shot, oh AND we SMASHED an @arri ; full behind the scenes at @derek_lamoureux on YouTube #filmmaker #setready #cinematography by @setreadyacademy

@nikpilecki and @derek_lamoureux breaking down how @nanluxamericas 1200Bs and @thelightbridge 100cm mirrors were the perfect combo for this short film.

2025 was an amazing year for us; bringing community together through @setready_rentals education, workshops, and events. We launched our YouTube channel and put together over 40 videos (in half a year)! Thanks to all our guests on the channel for sharing your wisdom and advice. We’ve got big plans this year to continue to foster growth, access, and knowledge. by @setreadyacademy

Our laowa.cine probe lens was sent out for a commercial shoot at the hrhlondonontario, and it delivered some incredible, detailed shots.

Always excited to see our gear put to work on creative projects like this, especially for a place as sick as hardrock1913.

On set for a commercial, we spent some time with Key Grip @naz.the.grip and DP @nikpilecki trying to figure out how to rig our cameras to objects and get the setups we needed.

We used the @blackmagic Ursa Mini and @arri Alexa 35 with @atlaslensco Mercury and dzo Vespids, every rig was set up to give the camera smooth, flexible movement and the ability to hit tricky angles. It’s a lot of problem-solving on the fly - balancing the gear, making adjustments, and finding ways for the camera to move naturally within the scene.
