A good dog and a good scotch go hand in hand, so we’ll always be happy to share glass and a glimpse of our lives, cheers! 🥃

Congratulations to the winners of the 2025 Braevál Wild Bird Classic 🥃
The weather was rugged and a testament to the grit these dogs and handlers showed.
It is great to see competitive camaraderie, dogs with drive, and handlers cheering each other on all throughout.
Despite the conditions, there were birds on every course.

Flashback from one of the best days of the season.
Filled with points, flushes and a few misses I’d like back.
This season is winding down hoping to get a couple more walks in the cover. 🥃 by @settersandscotch

Big congratulations to BraeVal Rory handled by @braevalsporting for bringing home the US Complete National Championship! 🥃
At 2.5 years old this pup has made some exceptional strides. Rory is out of our Skye x Ghillie breeding, Rory’s future is bright and all of us at the Braevál Kennels are proud.
My dad has put a lot of work into this young dog and I couldn’t be more proud of both of them. 🥃
A well earned congrats to Brian Dix’s Remington on the RU. A phenomenal dog who shows up big every outing 🥃

🥃 to the 13th annual RGS New York Grouse and Woodcock hunt.
It is always exciting to watch young dogs point or someone take their first bird.
Skye had electric outing and I couldn’t be more proud.
Conditions were tough but the people who attended this know that this hunt means more than filling a limit (though some did). Seeing more new faces and many of the same in my seventh year volunteering. Thank you to the people who give to an organization working to put more habitat on the landscape and birds in the woods for us. 🥃🥃 by @settersandscotch

I hope everyone enjoyed their turkey season! 🥃
I was fortunate to work a couple birds and seal the deal on one. I even foraged up some of nature’s bounty to pair with this bird.
The spring woods really come alive in NNY. Hearing peent’s a dawn and drumming at day break. A thundering gobble mixed in to awaken the blossoms.

Braevál CoverDog Classic!
Congratulations to @braevalsporting for not only taking second with Braevál Rory but for hosting an incredible trial. Glad to have been apart of it and to run Skye. Bird numbers were great and the best of the dogs in the Northeast showed that. Brian Dix and Lightning Flash Remington ran an incredible race with 3 class finds and held the top spot the whole way.
Excited to keep tuning the dogs up over the offseason!
Cheers and a huge thank you to all of our sponsors who helped to make this possible and continue our sport 🥃 by @settersandscotch
