POSTS STORIES REELS

Hi I’m Seve, for the last 15 years I’ve been chasing a pretty ridiculous dream.

Two Olympic Games, years spent away from home. Plenty of failures and mistakes. Some dark lonely winters. Questionable financial decisions. And many moments where I wondered if it was all going to work out.

Looking back now, the Olympics weren’t the most valuable thing sport gave me.

It’s who I became trying to get there.

Discipline, resilience, confidence, a better understanding of pressure.

And a whole lots of training hours - with some amazing people, something I’m grateful my body has been able to do.

This year I decided to run my first marathon.

With 10 weeks of specific marathon prep, I crossed the line in 2:35.

The 15 years of becoming an Olympian wasn’t just about XC skiing… a lot of the same rules transfer whether you’re building to a 5k, going for a marathon PB or trying to see how fit, strong and healthy you can become.

Running teaches you all these things.

Discipline, patience, confidence - it’s joy at the same time.

That’s a big part of why I coach today.

I work with athletes who know they still have more to give and want to find out what they’re actually capable of.

If you’ve ever thought,

“I wonder what I’m actually capable of?”

Send me a message (“READY”) and let’s have a chat.

This is my story so far. by @sevedecampo_official

TLDR: huge PB in first marathon , high performance systems for the win.

I didn’t run a 2:35 in my first marathon by following a generic plan or guessing my way through long runs.

I followed a proven system, built from over a decade in elite endurance sport.

Because high performance isn’t about working harder.

It’s about having the right system for you.

Before I wrote a single training session, I needed to understand:

• What are my strengths?
• What are my weaknesses?
• What does this race actually demand?
• What is most likely to hold me back?

For me, that looked like:

✅ Building around my aerobic engine instead of chasing unnecessary intensity.

✅ Making strength training non-negotiable because injury risk was my biggest limiter.

✅ Using physiological testing at the Australian Institute of Sport to understand my training zones and race pace.

✅ Following the same structured weekly routine, week after week, so my body could safely adapt.

The marathon wasn’t won by one workout.

It was won by hundreds of small decisions that all pointed in the same direction.

That’s what a good system does.

It gives you confidence that when race day arrives, you’ve prepared as well as you possibly could.

I’ve spent some time putting together the exact 10-week training plan I followed to go from a projected 3-hour marathon to running 2:35 in my first marathon.

Comment “PLAN” and I’ll send it to you. by @sevedecampo_official

Seriously busted my *** to see if the Garmin watch Vo2max reading is accurate or not.

Research says that the Garmin Vo2max algorithm is usually 5 units plus or minus on your actual Vo2max and can therefore be used as a rough estimate.

I’m a two time Olympic Endurance athlete (cross country skiing)

On Monday I tested my Vo2max at the Australian Institute of Sport and reached 70.3.

Whether you get yours done in a lab for a couple $ hundred or from your watch, both are still just a number on a screen - you need interpretation and training implementation.

I’ll be explaining how I implement Vo2max testing to improve performance and health. by @sevedecampo_official

Seriously what does a dirty fork have to do with Olympic glory? 🚣🇦🇺

I recently had the privilege of spending two weeks training alongside the Australian Men’s Rowing Team in Canberra.

One of my biggest takeaways had nothing to do with the training itself, but everything to do with the culture they’ve built.

What impressed me most wasn’t just the incredibly high standards, but the fact that those standards were driven by the athletes themselves.

The boys hold each other accountable, not because a coach is watching, but because they genuinely care about the success of the team.

That kind of accountability that builds trust.

The kind of trust that means a team delivers when the pressures on, expectations run high and it’s time to execute.

This is a key component for any team aiming for high performance - sport , business , life. Accountability from within.

A massive thanks to the boys and everyone at Rowing Australia for welcoming me into the environment. It was awesome! 👌 by @sevedecampo_official

Vo2max training today: 7x2.5mins on, 2.5min rest 🔥

Aiming for 85-90% of max HR through the sets.

Warm up included 20mins easy, 4mins z2/3 into 4x30s hard (With 15seconds rest). Important to have a good warm up for this kind of session.

This can be done running / bike riding / cross country skiing and is best performed with an uphill in order to push the Heart Rate.

I’m doing this each week in preparation for World Championships in 116 days, follow for more training sessions like these.

Happy Halloween 👻
