New song that started with this fretless guitar + Ebow riff. Sustainer pickups seem to be all the rage in the fretless community these days, but the old fashioned Ebow lets you hammer-on bass notes while sustaining notes on a different string. Kinda cool, right? Might be #copium until i can get a sustainiac installed #fretless #fretlessguitar #ebow by @sevendreamsmusic
Why @jackblack , why? Just kidding… the odds of anyone involved in @aminecraftmovie seeing our homemade Blender video from last year are minuscule but still, the similarities are uncanny. #minecraftmovie #musicvideo by @sevendreamsmusic
A wistful summer groove from the basement. Can you guess the time signature? by @sevendreamsmusic
Spent the last couple weeks working on my violin playing just to realize this vision of an orchestral Deprogram. The intensity of the song felt like it could benefit from some tension-building, classical strings, but I didn’t want to take the easy route and use MIDI. Needless to say, not the final mix. #violin #rockmusic #producer #homerecording #sevendreams #deprogram by @sevendreamsmusic
Some tropical vibes and satire to start the weekend🏝️🎭 We came up with this groove in the dead of a midwestern winter, on a day when Brooke was obsessively quoting Saltburn, which inspired this mashup. Take no offense, math rockers, we salute you 🫡#️⃣🔢➕🔢🟰✔️ #mathrock #bandpractice #saltburn #ewanmitchell #barrykeoghan #askmeasum by @sevendreamsmusic
We’ve had this tune in 7 kicking around for a little while. Here’s a funny moment we only captured on Brett’s phone but the groove was too sickening not to share. When you gotta throw your bandmates a lifeline 🛟🤝 #drummer #oddtime #mathrock #sevenfour by @sevendreamsmusic
Who needs snares anyway? Jamming with the wires off; 3 iphones spread around the room recording technique #audiophile #snaresoff #bandpractice by @sevendreamsmusic
Having fun adding backing vocal and synth overdubs to our Tiny Desk video. They felt especially appropriate for the spacey half-time outro you are hearing now. #dreampop #triphop #alternative by @sevendreamsmusic
We filmed this little acoustic rendition of Ride or Die for the NPR Tiny Desk Contest and it finally showed up in the list of entries! Check it out at the youtube link in bio or by searching our name on the contest website (cats not included) #tinydeskcontest by @sevendreamsmusic
