Happy Birthday to my son, River! He turned two today and it feels like only yesterday I was holding him in the hospital.

We stand in front of our family tree named "Fantasia" - this tree has a special symbol on its bark that matches the palm of my hand. For his first year of life we had a custom photo album made to honor our tree. I love being his mother!

You are the daughter of the sea, oregano's first cousin.
Swimmer, your body is pure as the water;
cook, your blood is quick as the soil.
Everything you do is full of flowers, rich with the earth.
