Hi, I’m Erin. I’m a beginner wildlife photographer and these are some of my favorite shots so far. The last one may not be wild, but he sure does like to act wild. #sonyalpha #sonyalphafemale #wildlifephotography by @sewbon
My birthday was last week, so I figured it was a good excuse to go through old photos and reminisce on all the wildlife adventures from the last year. Here are a few that have been gathering dust on my hard drive. Better late than never! 🎉 📸 @sonyalpha A7RIV and A7RV plus a variety of various Sony lenses (24-70 F2.8 GM II, 70-200 F2.8 GM II, 100-400 F4.5 GM, 200-600 F5.6-6.3G) #sonyalpha #sonyalphafemale #wildlifephotography by @sewbon
Over a year later, and I’m still finding photos I love from this trip. Here are a few postcards from Sri Lanka. 🇱🇰 📸 @sonyalpha A7RIV and A7RV #sonyalpha #sonyalphafemale #destinationsrilanka by @sewbon
Less than an hour from Denver, Mount Blue Sky is one of my favorite wildlife photography destinations in Colorado. And it’s pretty easy to see why. Located in beautiful Clear Creek County, Mt. Blue Sky is a 14er, but it’s one of the few you don’t have to hike. The Mt. Blue Sky Scenic Byway is the highest paved road in North America, giving photographers easy access to incredible alpine landscapes and wildlife. On my most recent visit, @myrandainthemountains and I spotted mountain goats, bighorn sheep, marmots, pika, and lots of kestrels. If you want to visit this year, don’t wait too long because road access closes on October 4. ‼️ A few important things to know: • Vehicle reservations are required and can be booked through Recreation.gov (search “Mount Blue Sky”). • The road above Summit Lake is now closed for the season, so you can no longer drive to the summit. • Access to Mt. Goliath and Summit Lake remains open through October 4, weather permitting. A few wildlife photography tips: 🦌 Drive slowly and keep an eye on the road. Wildlife is often spotted surprisingly close to it. 📸 Give the wildlife plenty of space. Use a longer lens rather than getting closer. 🚫 Never feed, chase, or harass wildlife. 👀 Be mindful of other visitors who may also be enjoying the animals. #visitclearcreekcounty @visitclearcreekcounty by @sewbon

Btw… swipe to the end for a surprise. A few years ago, I bought a used Sony camera because I wanted better vacation photos, and somehow, it led me here. @sonyalpha Kando. Kando is Sony’s annual event where creators come together to connect, try out gear, and get inspired. This was my first time being invited, and I’m so incredibly grateful I got to be part of it. Honestly, I still can’t believe my photography hobby has opened doors I never expected. I love my Sony fam! My favorite part was meeting so many creative and encouraging people in real life, attending inspiring sessions, sharing stories, and spending time with people who understand the excitement of creating. Also, we got to visit a Golden Retriever farm, which was basically a dream come true. A huge thank you to the Sony team for putting together such an incredible experience, and to everyone I met throughout the week. I felt so welcomed, inspired, and lucky to be there. ❤️ Kando is a Japanese word that describes that feeling of awe and connection you get from experiencing something meaningful and beautiful. Looking back on the week, I think I felt that pretty much the entire time. @sonyalpha @sonyalphafemale #sonykandotrip Slide 10: @avecnicole Slide 11: @brilewerkephoto Slide 12: @alexjeverett by @sewbon
It’s World Photography Day! They say money can’t buy happiness, but it did buy me a camera and some lenses. Which led me to seeing some really cool animals, visiting some incredible places, and filling a few hard drives along the way. Soooo, I’d say the math checks out. Here’s a collection of some random photos I took over the past couple years that make me happy. 📸 #sonyalpha #natgeoyourshot @sonyalphafemale @sonyalpha by @sewbon
Ursus maritimus, the sea bear. I just got back from the polar bear capital of the world and my SD cards are full. So is my wildlife-loving heart. Fun fact: Polar bears are the only bear species classified as a marine mammal. They’re built for life on the sea ice and are incredibly comfortable in the water. The longest documented polar bear swim lasted 9 days and covered about 426 miles. Apparently, polar bears aren’t just built for surviving the Arctic, they’re also built for endurance sports. 📍 Churchill, Manitoba with @churchillwildsafaris 📸 @sonyalpha A7RV + Sony 100-400mm F4.5 GM OSS #sonyalpha #sonyalphafemale #natgeoyourshot #lightroommobilecontest @lightroom @natgeoyourshot by @sewbon
Hi! I’m Erin, a hobbyist wildlife photographer and I’ll basically take a photo of any creature. Here are some of my favorites, arranged from small to tall. 😊 I get a lot of questions about what gear I use. My go-to camera is the Sony A7RV, used most often with the Sony 200-600mm. I picked up the A7RV about a year and a half ago, and it’s quickly become my favorite wildlife camera for a few reasons. The 61 megapixel sensor gives me plenty of room to crop when a subject is small (hello bugs and bitty birds!) or far away (um, basically everything because that’s kinda the point), while Sony’s subject recognition autofocus helps me lock in onto any animal with the insect, bird, and animal modes. @sonyalpha @mymikescamera @sonyalphafemale #SonyAlphaWildlifeContest2026 #SweepstakesEntry by @sewbon
Pretty sure the polar bear is just a mermaid that’s built for winter. 📍 Churchill, Manitoba 📸 @sonyalpha A7RV + Sony 100-400 F4.5 GM OSS #sonyalpha #natgeoyourshot #sonyalphafemale #exploreMB by @sewbon
Ohhh, big stretch! Fun fact: Pelicans can turn their throats pouches inside out to clean them, which is both a very useful adaptation and vaguely unsettling to see. 📍 Yellowstone National Park 📸 @sonyalpha A7RV + Sony 200-600 #sonyalpha #sonyalphafemale #lightroommobilecontest @lightroom #lexarmemory by @sewbon
