🌳 Happy Arbor Day, Monmouth Beach! 🌳

Today we came together as a community to plant not one—but two trees—an Elm and a Serviceberry—growing pride, history, and hope for future generations. 🌱🌱

Alongside them, the Freedom Tree footstone stands as a meaningful reminder of our shared history. We encourage residents to stop by, take a moment, and appreciate these beautiful additions to our community. (Note: footstone will be set for longevity thanks to MB DPW!)

The Monmouth Beach Shade Tree Commission would like to thank everyone who made today so special.

A heartfelt thank you to Mayor Tim Somers and the Commissioners of Monmouth Beach, as well as Monmouth County Commissioner Erik Anderson, for your continued support.

We are grateful to the Monmouth County chapter of NJSSAR, especially President Jake Rue, for helping honor the significance of this day.

To the incredible students of Monmouth Beach School—your beautiful poems, heartfelt songs, meaningful words, sign language, and artwork made today truly unforgettable. 💚

This massive project features 5,000 square feet of True Blue thermal finish bluestone. Beyond the aesthetics, this was a major engineering feat—we completely redesigned the grading and drainage to work seamlessly with these custom flood walls, keeping this beautiful estate protected and dry.

What I call a big/little project in beautiful Monmouth Beach NJ!! From design, to approvals and breaking ground, a lot going on this property with its limited space and coverage/setbacks, along with a major underground storm water system, de watering during pool construction, to dealing with compromised soils (clay and organic layer that needed to be removed off site to adding helical pilings to stabilize the pool load, etc. To adding an auto pool cover to meet our amazing clients request to lengthen the use/enjoyment of the 25' x 10' plunge pool!! Along with grading, sodding, landscaping, fencing, lighting, irrigation and many little details! Love the granite coping we chose and carried as a veneer, cap stone, etc. to the glass tile and plaster chosen!! Like I said, a lot going on in tight quarters!! Total team effort by our team and my old friend and neighbor, Luke (who I've known when he was a teenager and his dad who worked with me in the 90's) was a big part of our efforts on the pool, pilings, drainage on the front end of the project. Along with my friends of 10+ years (John and Mike), owners of @shady_tree_llc !! Always a team effort, collaborative to fulfill our vision and goals for our special clients. Pool season might be over but you can always sit by the fire and dream of next year.
