I Did Money Ritual And Enjoyed The Wealth For 4-5 Years Before Everything Came Crashing Down, I Lost My Leg In An Accident - Pastor Joel Adedeji
Pastor Joel Adedeji, who is based in 0gbomosho, has narrated how his decision to engage in money rituals in his younger years eventually backfired on him.

Speaking with BBC Yoruba, the pastor said he took the decision many years ago while searching for greener pastures and a better life.
According to him, the herbalist instructed him to look for a woman he liked, have s+xual intercourse with her and use a piece of cloth to wipe her private part afterwards
He said, "The baba said I should look for someone like and have intercourse with her and use a cloth to clean her private part once am done. After I did that, truly money came, honestly, then he asked me to bring more."

He further disclosed that after carrying out the additional instructions, the herbalist warned him that he would never be able to buy a car or build a house with the money.
Pastor Adedeji said he enjoyed the wealth for about four to five years before he started experiencing serious challenges.
Recounting the accident that led to the loss of his leg, he explained that the car that hit him was actually his car, as the person driving it was someone he had lent money to purchase the vehicle.

He said, "Before I knew it, I got hit and landed in the hospital, and before I woke up the next day, my leg had been amputated.'
The pastor concluded by advising young people to be patient with life, stressing that what is meant for them will never pass them by. by @shakira_blogs

Thank God, I have also found a job. I am doing well for myself and my kids, and I am working to give them a peaceful, stable home.
But getting here was painful. I had to face the friends I had pushed away and remember the hurtful things I said to my mother when she was only trying to help me.

I am grateful she kept reaching out. Her prayers and support helped me find the courage to ask questions and seek help.
That is why I want people to understand what can be behind someone’s silence. You may have lost your income. You may be afraid of threats. You may feel ashamed because you defended the marriage so strongly that you don’t know how to admit you are suffering.

I experienced those feelings.
Please show compassion when someone finally speaks. Ask, “Are you safe? How can I help?” Give them room to explain without mocking them.
Today, I am rebuilding my life. I have work, I am caring for my children, and I have hope again.
Mrs. Shakira, please protect our identities. I hope sharing my experience helps someone feel less alone.

Even when friends said they had seen her with another man, I defended her. I accused them of wanting to destroy my marriage. One by one, they stopped calling.

Then she started bringing men into our home to spend the night. Whenever I challenged her, she threatened to call the police and accuse me of trying to rape her. I became afraid to speak in my own house.

I was doing well before I lost my job. After that, things became much worse. I had no income, little confidence, and hardly anyone left to confide in.
When my mother visited, she noticed something was wrong. But when she tried to help, I told her, “You want to ruin my marriage. My wife is all I have.”

Remembering those words still hurts.
My mother kept praying and contacted her pastor. He believed I had been spiritually tied down. I came to believe juju was involved, although I cannot prove that. What I know is that I felt frightened, isolated, and unable to trust my own judgment.

Then, last year, I began to see my situation clearly—and one day, I came home to find her with another man.

One particular incident still troubles me. We had an argument, and she slapped me. One of our daughters became frightened and called the police. Before the officers arrived, my wife was on the floor crying and saying I had pushed her. I had not pushed her.

When the police arrived, they told me to leave the house. I walked out thinking about my daughters and wondering how our family had reached this point.
The next day, my wife begged me to come home.
That left me confused and hurt. I wanted to believe we could resolve things, but I was also afraid of another incident. How do I return home feeling safe when a disagreement can end with me being slapped and accused of hurting her?
I am not a perfect husband. We can disagree, and I can take responsibility when I am wrong. But I should be able to speak without being hit or threatened.

What breaks my heart most is that our daughter felt she needed to call the police. Our girls should feel safe at home. They should not have to witness these fights or feel responsible for stopping them.
Mrs. Shakira, I love my children, and I am worried about what this is doing to them and to me. I need honest advice about protecting myself and being there for my daughters. I cannot keep pretending everything is okay.

Please keep my name and my children’s identities private.

What would you tell this husband? Please keep your comments respectful. Abuse against men deserves to be taken seriously.

I haven’t told my family. I am ashamed and afraid they will laugh at me. But being a man does not mean those slaps don’t hurt.
Helping with her papers does not give me the right to control her. Equally, loving her does not mean I should have to accept violence.

There are five children in our family. What are they learning when they hear the shouting or see her hit me? I worry that staying silent is teaching them to accept the same treatment.
I still love my wife, but I am tired of being afraid in my own home. An apology gives me hope, but without a change in her behavior, I end up hurt again.

Shakira, how do I protect myself and the children? How do I decide whether there is still a safe future for this marriage?

What would you tell this husband? Please keep your comments respectful. Abuse against men deserves to be taken seriously.
