I don’t want to live a life that only looks good on stage.
I want to live a life that changes cities, influences nations, and leaves this generation better than I met it.
The unveiling of the 1000 City Choir was proof that God can take a burden and turn it into a movement.
And I promise you this: I won’t settle. I won’t slow down. I won’t waste the assignment.
We are going for impact real, lasting, generational impact.

Quick chat with @channelstelevision this morning.
Spent sometime sharing about the journey so far and I am excited about what the future holds for @the_city_choir

I remember how it all started, at number 17b Ajigbotinu Street, Agege Lagos, in our small church. I became the music director at age 18.
I was sleeping In church those years, and I would write songs, arrange songs for my church choir, there was nothing like “The City Choir” in view. I was just that passionate little boy who wanted to make a difference.

I just wanted something different and out of this world. I was in that small church all my life, at some point, I felt like I was not doing enough, I didn’t know God was preparing me for something greater, I stayed, I practiced, i learned to depend on God and here we are, 10 years later! 🙏🏾

I remember how I would be conducting our church choir back then, and I would be seeing thousands of singers before me, I didn’t get it, but i understand right now and I am grateful to God for his grace.

And this is just the beginning!

The joy of Christmas is here.
In the music, in the rehearsals, in every late night and every harmony, we are preparing with all our hearts.

We cannot wait to deliver our best Christmas production yet. Get ready, it is going to be beautiful.

The interesting thing about creating as a believer is that your source of creativity doesn’t come from any other form of intelligence.

It comes from GI [God’s Intelligence]

It is not learned, it is revealed. It is not manufactured, it is received. And it is such a profound privilege to have unrestricted access to tap from that source.

This year at The City Choir Carol, we are not just going to sing. We intend to display a high dimension of God’s Intelligence in sound, in story, in excellence.

And I cannot wait for you all to experience it.

Excited about the work and the excellence we are about to birth at this year’s City Choir Carol.

It is such a beautiful thing to watch my generation come together, not for clout, not for noise but to create something truly exceptional for God and for our city.

What we are building goes beyond music. It is sound, it is sacrifice, it is community, it is the future taking shape.

Stay tuned. There is so much more to come. by @shallom_matthew

Leadership is four journeys at once. Inward where God forms your character, upward where you receive vision, outward where you carry people, and forward where you take new ground. Each demands a different version of you. That’s why capacity matters more than charisma, charisma opens doors, but only capacity sustains you when what you prayed for arrives.

It won’t be easy. Process will stretch you with isolation, delay and invisible growth, but process isn’t punishment, it’s preparation. People fail not because the journey was wrong, but because their posture was wrong. So build capacity, honor process, and guard posture ,stay humble to learn, strong to carry, and fixed to endure.

Today, we had the honor of an insightful creatives meet-up with Pastor Nathaniel Bassey @nathanielblow ,celebrating a life, a sound, and a journey marked by discipline, purpose, and unwavering devotion.

The city choir filled the room with the joy of music.
To sit and learn from a man who has stewarded his gift with excellence and consistency is a reminder: greatness is not accidental. It is built in secret, sustained in public, and offered back to God.

This was a moment of learning. A moment of honoring. A moment that will shape how we create, serve, and lead going forward.
