Oh, the sweet, sweet taste of success. My livable, usable art installation. Walls, floors, vanity done/made by moi. Labor of design love. Perfect way to close out 2023/open 2024. All I need is my beautiful light fixture from @hennepinmade and I’m done! 😍😍. Happy New Year everyone!! Wishing you a love filled, rewarding, healthy year ahead. ❤️ by @shannontateinteriors

Another view of our Litchfield County family home. Cozy, warm, comforting, excellent quality and yet nothing too precious. It’s a home intended to truly be lived in…every detail and material choice thought through to support ease in the day to day. It’s such an honor to be asked to create “home” for families and it’s one I never take for granted. ❤️

Feeling grateful for our cocoon this morning. Almost every part of this space was made with my own two hands, construction, furniture building, cushion sewing, painting, you name it, I did it. If/when we ever sell this place I’m sure I will be inconsolable for a time. But, it’s also so healthy to not be stuck in one place forever (in my opinion), to see yourself, your life, your possibilities from a new perspective. For now, I’m treasuring this home and all the many memories we’ve made in it over the last 14 years. Wishing you a beautiful, peaceful weekend. 😘❤️ by @shannontateinteriors

Thank you @modernluxuryinteriors for featuring our Brookline brick colonial project in the latest print edition! This project was so wonderful to work on, our clients, the home, our team, everything and we are so grateful it’s getting its moment! ❤️❤️

If you didn’t catch it over on my guest editor post on @dominomag substack, here’s a sneak peek of my latest project, a new vanity build and install along with custom made tile backsplash. I’m still waiting for our custom mirrors to be installed on all three sides, but gosh is it satisfying to even see this much come to life. ❤️ by @shannontateinteriors

Come on over to @dominomag ‘s substack to check out my guest editor post! (Link in bio) You’ll hear what I’m up to, what I’m loving, how I solved a problem in my Brooklyn apartment and get eyes on my latest custom creation! Thank you for having me @dominomag , I love you guys!! 😘

Oldie but a goodie. Peaceful bathroom vibes in Brookline. One of my favorite things about this bathroom (aside from the gut renovation we did) is that we were able to capture sunlight from a light shaft in the middle of the house that was previously covered in Sheetrock, changing the entire vibe of the room. What was once dark and closed in with no natural light, was suddenly bright and uplifting.

A formal dining room for fun, informal people. I loved so many of the chairs I was looking at for this family and then thought, what if we don’t choose and we just get them all? That would be fun! My clients joyfully agreed. ❤️

Above all else, my aim is always for the homes I design to feel peaceful. Because, we all need as much of that as we can get and home should always been a haven that gives it plentifully. What peace looks and feels like, what colors it’s splashed with to be achieved, is always individual to clients, but the feeling of peace is a core principal of every project. I should probably be holding these photos closer to my chest until they’re published somewhere, but I can’t help myself! Thank you for your beautiful work capturing this so perfectly @nickglimenakis ❤️🙏🏼 by @shannontateinteriors

When I first started my business, I began by making things. Almost every project, I would include a custom made piece. As I got busier, taking time away to create something myself began to feel impossible, so I started having my designs made by other local artisans. But, the thing is, I feel most alive when I am creating by hand. I see it in my mind, I plan it on paper and then I make it appear, through days, sometimes weeks of the most soul satisfying work. Today it is in the form of ceramics, but my creations cross through many different mediums and I pretty much never make the same thing twice. Every year I get older, I realize this feeling of alignment and joy is what life is all about. So, I’m making space for it as often as possible. This will be showing up more here in my feed, as I feel out how to weave this more prominently into what I offer. Shannon Tate “interiors” was always supposed to be a play on words. Interiors of homes, yes, but more significantly, the interiors of ME, coming forth. So, I’m bringing it back to the forefront. May we all have the time & space to show up for our souls calling. It’s easy to forget, we are in the driver’s seat, we are the creators of our lives. So, create with intention. ❤️ by @shannontateinteriors

Another cozy slice from my recently completed Connecticut project. Thank you for capturing this so perfectly @nickglimenakis ! ❤️❤️ by @shannontateinteriors

Little slice of home from my favorite morning tea spot. Yesterday I found a tree shoot popping up in the middle of my garden. I felt bad having to snip it out, but at least I get to enjoy it in all of its perfectly flopped elegance for a few days inside. Happy weekend everyone. ❤️ by @shannontateinteriors
